With all the parts shortages and stuff there really are no 'parts bins' to empty out. FCA was all about just in time delivery from suppliers before Covid. Stellantis is even more hardcore about it. They don't have piles of unused HC motors or WBRE facias laying around. This is more about...
Surprised they're doing this when every other Stellantis vehicle seems to be scaling all '22 color options back to white, gray, black, silver, and one red. Even the new GC. Guess it makes sense though since color is about the only thing left they can do without much effort/investment in this...
I personally have not driven a 5.7 Charger/Challenger, but I came from an '05 CTS-V (6MT/400hp LS6) and my 392 Charger was a BIG step up in straight line speed. Copious tire smoke was just a foot twitch away (with the TC off). I love manual transmissions, but the 8HP is the best auto I've ever...
Probably slight pad/rust build up on the rotors from sitting overnight. Did you wash it yesterday or was it raining/humid? I've had them pulse a bit in the morning until a stop or two cleaned them off. I've also had the pads stick to the rotors first thing in the morning after a wash/rain/high...
That's what we'll be trying to do. There is no gasket or seal to keep moisture out of the button cavity which is not a good design. The design also prevents you from jamming something behind the switch to keep it pushed forward since that just presses the button.
Just a PSA, the exterior trunk release button on my son's '17 Daytona collapsed into its hole so we pulled the taillight assembly out to fix it. The metal bracket was so rusted it disintegrated in my hand! Although it is parked outside now, the car was garaged the whole time I owned it (up until...
That's UC4, not UC5. My wife's '20 Cherokee is exactly the same (laggy), yet my '17 Daytona wasn't at all. The only GC that currently has UC5 is the new body style L.
Yep. Think of the benefits. Besides the cost savings vs the 812, in a tank like that you can drive at full throttle everywhere to enjoy the noise and barely break the speed limit! :ROFLMAO: I found an S600 semi-local for $5k. What could possibly go wrong with a 20 year old, super complex Merc...
If you just want the sweet sound without the speed, just buy an old V12 S-Class and have a dude in Japan make you some headers and full exhaust. Even though the exhaust work is obscenely expensive you'll still be hundreds of thousands ahead :D...
It's not as easy as slapping a different touchscreen in there, even if they are the same size. Anything electronic is hard to get right now, but there are plenty of of new vehicles still being produced with UC4 that it won't just suddenly be discontinued. That's not how supply chains work. Maybe...
Who says they're not being produced though? The 4th gen Rams (still being produced), some Durango trims, all 4th gen Grand Cherokees (still being produced), not to mention the 300/Charger/Challenger still use UC4.
UC5 is hardware and totally different software (UC5 is Android based, UC4 was QNX) so they could make the UC4 graphics match UC5, but you wouldn't see any of the actual benefits of UC5
