Sure. Certainly the 'burning through an AC hardline in a year' with a few seconds of monthly hand polishing comment was borne of careful scientific research and observation.
Wall thickness is probably close to 0.100 inches.
Hand polishing for a few seconds might remove 1 or 2 microns (the first time) which is 0.00004 - 0.00008 inches
He'd have to polish A LOT before it became an issue.
.100 / .00008 = 1250 polishes (although I'm sure the line would leak before 1250)
I find it curious that Gold Rush requires the satin black hood/roof/trunk. Wonder why.
Love Gold Rush or hate it, at least Dodge isn't afraid to offer a variety of actual COLORS. So tired of the only choices being white/black/gray on most cars with an occasional dark red/blue thrown in once in...

Plenty of '21 non-ET Hemi 1500s available out there. What do you mean 'playing games' with the Hemi for years? Besides supplier issues I've never seen any availability problems with the V8 in the 1500. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if ET became temporarily unavailable due to the microchip...
I'm sure it blew up way before highway speeds were achieved, then it suddenly got a lot easier to tow! 🤔🤣
The 50k RPM thing was just them calculating how high it would theoretically have to rev at that speed.
Yay Math!
I mean... the 3.6 Pentastar is somewhat gutless at low RPM. Gotta really rev it to make good power. So 50k RPM should give you Hellcat level power.....right? 🤯
I'd make your ordering decision quickly. Brampton has already been closed due to the chip shortage (which you know about already), but I've also heard they suddenly stopped taking '21 customer orders at Sterling Heights (DT Ram 1500 plant) for the rest of the model year. No telling if they'll do...
It's just a cost effective way to use an existing (but hardly used) wheel design to differentiate the RE models a little from other widebody models (for '21 anyway... past practice indicates these wheels will be available in a year or 2 on other widebodies).
They are the same wheels as last years 50th anniversary widebody Challenger (just painted satin black now). They are standard on the Charger RE too. If they're anything like every other satin black Dodge wheel, there is no clear coat. Just a very thin and easily scratched coat of paint as...
