This is the upper control arm of my 2020 1500. Definitely a nylon lock nut. Like has already been said, it was removed, or was never installed. It won't just vibrate off. I suppose it's possible the nut was defective and didn't have the nylon insert, but in that case it would have taken a lot...
The yoke and no physical shifter are 2 of the dumbest car ideas I've seen in a long time. When Tesla initially showed them off I figured there was no way those items make it into production. Just some 'car of the future' showing off BS. Guess not. How many crashes will be attributed to these...
Hadn't seen this mentioned here anywhere, so I thought I'd share. Let the speculation begin!

Except in this instance she's a French corporate dipshit that wasn't building anything in America to begin with. Although I'm sure those EU PSA auto workers aren't thrilled about their 'flagship' being built in China either.
I'd be willing to bet most have never even seen a track. Guy in my neighborhood has one. Takes it to a car show every now and then. Never even seen/heard him go WOT. Some people do use them as intended, but a lot seem to be trophies.
Doesn't need to be anything too crazy. I know the Tesla is heavy, but a Charger HC will do 200 on the crappy OEM Pirellis and only weighs a few hundred pounds less. We're talking high-speed durability, not holeshot gumball stickiness.
Technically Gold Rush is a free color choice like all the others, but it requires the black hood/roof/trunk package ($3495) or the T/A package ($3995). So yeah...not so free.
