Nice! Bet you wish it didn't have the 3.42 gears, though.

Yeah. I don’t have a comparison. I don’t have any problem towing the mountain grades out west with this setup and I’ve got about 15k miles doing that with this trailer. 95k total. Gets 10gpm towing and 19-20 around town. It did need the airbags in the rear

Many lock out 6th gear when towing with the 3.42s. Helps the trans stay alive and keeps the engine temps down.

I like driving fast, but when using my girlfriend's 2500 to tow the 911 pictured earlier, it was a bit fast even for me in 6th.
In my 3500 with 3.73s (and the shorter DRW tires), it does 80 mph at 2,000 rpm, which the engine seems to like, and it's my preferred speed.

The trailer tires are only rated at 75 mph on the ATC. Which is probably a good thing considering me.

Funny you mentioned that. Two weeks ago I put higher rated (speed and load range) on two trailers.

On one because I didn't trust the brand, on the other because I noticed to my horror that they were from '15.
And both sets were 65 mph max.

Now, with the new tires, I can go just over 80 - which I've been doing all along.

Towing slowly with a 1500 is not a bad idea, regardless of what engine it has..
I agree! I do my best, not to exceed 65 mph. The total weight of the truck, trailer and car is about 12,000 lbs., better safe, than sorry. That is a lot of weight to stop, with a split second notice.

Some years ago, I wasn't checking my trailer ties and the old tire went boom! Now, I watch the date code and get the best tire available. I bought the Goodyear Endurance trailer tire. So far, no problem and a speed rating of 87 mph, for a trailer tire!!!

Well, the 2500 is only weight limited on paper, thanks to the max 10K GVWR, but a 1500 really doesn't have any actual load carrying capability to speak of.
When you put a Ram 1500 up on a lift next to a 2500...the difference is evident...the 2500 is a truck..the 1500 is a car,,,

I prefer the description for my Ram 1500, as truck/car.

Well, they are a step above the Honda Ridgeline.

According to the commercials anyway.

I can fly cross country a lot cheaper than towing that trailer. That’s for sure 🥸

When I bought my trailer I looked at ones the same size as yours, Super Stock I think was the model. I liked the space but the weight was over twice what the 28' ATC weighed. About the same money and I opted for the ATC. I can still fit my ATV in it.

I was averaging 13-15 mpg pulling it.

OK, I have an update to this original post, that is if anyone can remember what the initial topic was (LOL). My order has been taken 'off' restricted, however it is still a 5N7 sales code and still in BG status. I'm not sure what this development means, is there any hope at all my Challenger HC WB RE car will ever get built? Anybody have an opinion ?
