Straight ethanol percentage by volume?
Car has an ethanol sensor with an actual gauge installed. Gauge is in the glove box.

That is a really cool tune and a really nice setup, but what I'm confused about (really just curious) is unless I'm miss reading the chart the E55 outdid the E85 up to 3500rpm and the E70 up to 4500. Is that correct? Again nice setup. (y) GOOD LUCK WITH IT!

I have the timing pulled out for launch, so that is why those numbers are "skewed", probably won't be perfect pull to pull.

Is this the one for the dash gauge? Thought I remember them saying it (eth %) would be available to read on the EVIC too...so that means hijacking one of those...

I'll also assume when you log IAT2 now you pull in one of the 4 different ones that exist? I think there's each bank, an aggregate, and another that wasnt accurate to anything on my 18.

The more and more I see and learn of this setup the more impressed I am and more I want it...but also am so used to monitoring things a certain way that losing the dash iat would mildly irritate me. Lol.

MMX HC1 cam, it has excellent street manners. Torque actually reads low on that graph due to the timing being yanked down low for launch.

@FFBOS

Nice numbers, and thanks for sharing and showing the difference. I'm interested (eventually, lol) in this flex setup. Do you know if you can get away with just having a Flex Tune and nothing else or are you swapping to a more aggressive tune for the track?

I was thinking of running the flex tune, with 93 octane in for street driving and E85 (Whatever percentage I can get) for racing. Would be nice to have ONE tune that did it all. As long as it can change on the fly like you said. My worry would be if the car couldn't keep up with the ethanol change quick enough. Then again I'm guessing the best idea would be to fill up with ethanol and run around a bit to let the car adj for percentage of E.

Last I checked with Jeremy they weren't doing remote tunes for this as of yet, until they did more local ones.

I've only filled up once so far. The sensor reads what is being sprayed into the injectors. It took a minute or two to bring my last tank of e62 to mix with my current winter blend E, and that came up to e69 watching the gauge slowly climb up. All of this is under one tune. The higher the E I go, the best timing I will see. e78-79 on the gauge will see the most timing. On a test tube that would test above e85 typically. I'll provide more info/details when I nerd out more on it.

How does the evic e% reading compare to the glove box sensor gauge? Assume evic still uses wide band inference?

On board reads about 1-2% different so far. I won't say "for sure" until I get a couple pure tanks of ethanol fuel in. I believe on board still reads through this harness he designed and not the wide bands. All timing for the engine is based off actual ethanol % at the rail.

For sure, I'll keep you posted on my findings. Tuner wants more driving data from me when warm weather hits since he hasn't tuned any yet when it's been warm out. Not sure if much will change though.

All I know though is that my car hasn't started this smooth for 3 years since being on e85 lol.

That's good news, I've heard the E85 cold start can be interesting. Warm weather wouldn't change a whole lot I wouldn't think, maybe higher E content vs winter.
