Fuck, Carrera T's were in the mid 80s for lightly used ones and now the cheapest is 120k.

OP - look at a Cayman 4.0 GTS. NA, manual, mid engine etc. Or a used GT4.
Fun cars and will hold you over until the Z06 shows up. I doubt you lose money on a 911 or Cayman during this market.

These are as stiff as they come and God help you if you go down any road that isn't as smooth as glass. But holy hell do they handle and are a hoot to drive.
Can get them for 70k new I believe

Great thread. I've lusted for any number of cars my whole life. Lots of great cars cited here. There are so many fast, beautiful, or luxurious alternatives to the Hellcats but I just don't seem to WANT them like I used to before the HC. There is a presence, an attitude that HCs have that speaks to me at what really is an incredible price. A certain FU on the street...surly, wasting rubber, ok but find someone else who cares. An instant icon. The only other brand that still needles me is Lamborghini. Raging bulls born out of FU to Ferrari. If I was gonna go blow an extra $50K or so right now, I'd get some fender fab and get bigger rubber and keep the HC.

Hell yes, the whole world is off its rocker. Having sold the HC at 54 when I paid 67, and before the chip shortage, it blew my mind. I would hate to be in a position where I HAD to buy now.

Right, and the small projects on mine keep me from wanting to go out and spend on something else. Even if I did get something new I'd just just start throwing money at it for some kind of mods. I remember when I went from an RT to a hellcat I was like.. "see what's good about a hellcat is.. I won't have to mod it.. "

Now I have my deposit in at Ciocca, I'm also thinking of perhaps cross shopping other cars around the same price (new or used is fine by me, but used preferred where applicable. Even a stellar lease deal on a new car works) now. Maybe take a gander at CT5 Blackwing, used RS7, used R8 V10 Vert. No interest in the Plaid. Lotus Emira doesn't have enough HP for $94k IMO.

What am I missing? No new GT500. Too much $ for a Mustang IMO. Especially when I already have a Hellcat. Maybe GT-R, but not for near $100k. . Hellcat is my DD all year, yes even winter here in PA. DD is not a requirement, but would be an added bonus! Then I'd likely sell the Hellcat & free up that money. C8Z is obviously not going to be my winter DD.

Not unless you plan on taking it to a road course and testing the limits of the car , do you really need the Z06 ? Seems like a waste to let it be a garage king

Sure. But it weighs 2380 lbs so the power to weight is about the same as a HC

I like the the Ferrari 812 Superfast but not at the price. 800 hp V12 @ only 3500 lbs. Long hood and good power ballance but again the price you could buy two cars you like, only if money wasn’t a problem.

One of the very few cars in my opinion that sound better than the hellcat. I heard one go the opposite direction ripping it through an underpass. The sound was this sweet superbike like noise. Apparently they are stupid quick too. 0-100 mph in a capable 5.8 seconds.. just a nudge quicker than the old 2019 ZR1 which could do it in around 6 seconds stock
