Just wondering if anyone else is seeing issues?

I have had my Quickjack for about two years now and two of the hose fittings (female quick disconnects) and one of the male fittings on the pump has failed as well. When I say failed, I mean they are leaking whenever I pressurize them. Always kept them clean and covered so I’m a little surprised.

Good news is I can get them from a local store. Bad news is they are $40+ each.
Source better ones, through McMaster-Carr.

Much cheaper.

Just bought a one piece 8' base height rolling stair / pulpit from mcmaster-carr to use in accessing my living room ceiling. Just unloaded it earlier this week. Chose them because their ladders are made in the US. Don't know about the other parts of their line.

I've been through many cycles with mine, fittings did not fail but the leak with their stupid thread sealant happened. I now use the PTFE paste and it's an easy day. My bigger concern is the stupid rubber blocks they give us. Mine split all the way and dropped it onto the metal, had a brown mark moment. I have since then made my own pads.

I wasn't at one point, that's probably why the pads split,now I have blocks permanently attached to the pinch welds.

Glad I found this post. Just last week, I found and bought the 7000TL unit through Costco. On sale, listed at $1500. I also found they had the truck/SUV adapters for $220, which was the cheapest of any place else after searching around. All in, tax and shipping, it was about $50 cheaper than the bundled kit Costco had listed at $1900 (lift and adapters).

I'll keep an eye on the fittings. Any time I assemble anything with NPT, it always gets teflon tape and thread sealant. Haven't had a failure to date.

Mine haven’t leaked from the threaded ends. I had one female quick disconnect lose an internal o-ring and it would leak.

Now I have this male fitting in the bottom of the pump leaking. No idea how but if I hook up any female fitting to it (tried more than one to isolate the problem) and pressurize the system, it leaks.

If I test the same female fittings on the top male fitting in the pump (capped in the pic), there are no leaks.

Not sure what you mean.

Like I said above, any combination of female fittings works on the top male fitting with no leaks but every female fitting I’ve tried on the bottom male fitting leaks, so it’s obviously the bottom male fitting.

Aero - how much is your "leak"? It is normal to have a trace or "smidge" of oil in the green caps from assembly/disassembly of the fittings - there is pressure on them. Anything more than that is likely a bad seal in the fitting. I have had a trace in both of my QJs and at all connections. I do not disconnect mine at the pump though, I just coil the hoses up and store on the hydraulic unit

I get those trace leaks as well, was never concerned about them.

That bottom fitting on the pump pisses out 1/3rd of a quart of fluid when operating from full down to full up.

Didn’t find that out until I blocked off time to work on the car, which was a Saturday and of course all the local shops that would have that fitting were closed haha.

I should have clarified better. Does swapping the male fittings themselves in the pump change anything? Maybe I misunderstood your mentioning of trying different fittings, meaning you've tried different orientations and positions.

Also, did you state whether you used hydraulic or ATF?
