I know, it’s definitely not the norm. Not user error either. It’s possible they provided the incorrect pipe to an fittings but I doubt that
Some people think JIC and AN are interchangeable...

If IC chiller included JIC you can tell. The taper on the male fitting would be a different angle.

To clarify, these are NOT fittings that were included in the kit or provided. These were self purchased directly from Vibrant for coolant lines only. I used the AN fittings instead of plastic ones.

My fittings leaked, as did others I bought. I finally called them and they told me they had some bad ones and switched suppliers for the correct ones. They sent me new ones and they did not leak a drop.

I made a video detailing my installation, as I said I would. I am not a YouTuber, and I never do that. But, perhaps, it will help someone out. I think it is worth a watch. I have a lot of time into the installation. Enjoy.

Very nice! Watched it start to finish. Love the attention to detail. I was going to use oem style constant tension band clamps but will look into getting those oetiker clamps, looks cleaner.

Also love the way you have it plumbed (chiller OR stock exchanger) to take the load off the chiller in stock exchanger mode (I'm in Texas).

Just a question, but besides the cleaner look, any other reason for not using the foam insulation on the hoses?

Once your up and running, I'd love to hear if the braid on the hose reduces/prevents condensation from dripping.

I did not see a real need for the foam and did not want to deal with it later when it deteriorates and starts crumbling off. What a mess.

Having said that, I have not noticed any condensation on the thick fuel rated rubber hose I used from Improved Racing. Likewise, the braided line is dry. I get condensation on the metal fittings and the stock hardline pipes.

As some of you know, I have a 2022 Charger WB RE, which came with the factory chiller. One thing that is also missing from the IC Chiller installation notes is exactly how much to charge the AC. The stock charge is 1.5 lbs or 32 oz. I started my setup by charging to 1.7 lbs or 27.2 oz. The instructions talk about adding 1 oz at a time and checking temps. I have been messing with this. I added 1 oz, and it got slightly cooler. I added another 4 oz (to make it 2 lbs total). I saw maybe zero improvement, but it was not worse. Who knows what it should be?

Couldn't they have calculated the volume one the stock unit and then what volume their unit added to figure this out? I wish I had known or thought about. I would have at least filled each unit with water and then poured it out to see the volume difference. Now, I am shooting in the dark. I have seen some other posts talking about starting at 28 oz or where FI Chillers take 3 lbs.

Any data here would be appreciated. Or, maybe I will just have to keep messing with it. BTW, I am using a professional shop system/tool by friend has at his shop. So, no air or contamination is being introduced. I wish I also knew the total volume of the lines and other pieces of the system. That might help figure out how much volume was added by the IC Chiller.
