I wouldn’t sweat it if it wasn’t on the body line.
Oh yeah.....that definitely adds some complexity to the equation but I would do everything possible to not break the paint and have body work done. If the guy can get a decent shot at the back of it, he may be able to dolly it out. Given the position and the size, he may have to remove your back seat and that side interior panel.

I think it can be fixed, if they have backside access

Agreed that the crease is the worst part. I had one on the crease and my guy got it out. I mean it’s not perfect, but I decided to go that route rather than use the body guy that wanted $350. I think they drill tiny pilot hole and pull it from the outside. Mine was a pretty bad door ding from my wonderful daughter. You can’t notice it really unless you know it’s there $80 View attachment 16199 View attachment 16200
PDR techs will not drill any holes to fix a dent.

Idk how they actually did it but that’s what they told me being on the crease. I wish I had some before shots.. it was pretty bad

Definitely can if you can find a seasoned PDR guy. The crease won't matter with the right guy. The only thing he cant fix will be if the paint is cracked. I've got a guy in the bay area that's been doing it for 25 years or so. REAL GOOD at it and real busy / in demand. Definitely worth asking around until you get real good feedback about somebody from a few different people. Good luck. Sorry to see a dent like that on such a beautiful, bad ass car...

Friggin’ a-hole move on my part caused something to fall on the car. 2 dents right behind the passenger side door. One dent below the body line and one right on the damn thing! I’m so pissed at myself!!! Ive got a great body guy but I hate to worry about paint match. Thoughts please.
Like a lot of guys have said...the really good ones are absolutely amazing...go for it...

I had one pulled on my M45 that was on a crease above the wheel well in an area that was double walled. He had to drill a small hole, but made the area perfect (black car).
Just shop around for a guy with a good rep or ask any local high end car dealer who they use.

I had a dent caused by one of my boys early on with this car, right on the body line where the vertical arch over the rear wheel meets the curved body panel, something in the olds that would have been hard as hell to fix and been a major project. This PDR company in Houston took it out like it was never there. Only ever had one person say they could see it (and I think he was full of shit). Because of the size and different location, I can't predict, but I'd say they can probably get it out for the most part, but maybe not perfectly. It will all depend (as in live or die) on the skill of the guy who makes the attempt. Don't just go to joe blow who the folks on the internet says is great. Check it out yourself.

I have seen some work done on a 2018 Charger that was pretty amazing. I would definitely give it a try - just find the right person, they can do wonders...

I had one of the springs on my garage door break and the piece went flying onto the roof of my hellcat and left a dent. I had a pdr guy remove a dent from the trunk already so I will probably call him when things are back to normal

Yes that’s easy to fix. Now just find a dent repair specialist and problem solved. Over the yrs I’ve had 3 dents removed similar to yours.
Cheers
Good luck

Oh yes they will. Not all dents require it, and maybe not all PDR techs will, but I know a couple that have and do.

And for this particular case they may drill one in the b pillar/door post where it can be hidden if they have to. It all depends on what access they have and what you're willing to let them do.

I had this done a couple years ago and he asked if he could put a small hole in that very area.. I just happened to have black plastic plugs from when I drilled my own holes for undercoating, so I told him to have at it. The plugs looks just like the factory ones... nobody would ever know the difference.

Here's the biggest thing I don't get about most of these videos.....in almost all of them, they go right to the middle of the dent and start pulling, which I guess most of us would do. \
I picked up a copy of this book a few years ago called "The Key to Metal Bumping". It was originally written in the 50's, back when body repair people did more than just replace panels or total the car.
Now....I'm no body repair person...not by a long shot...but after reading the book, the thing that made the most sense to me was that you had to work the dent backwards. You had to look at it and find where the farthest spot of damage was in the dent and work back from there. And by the time you had done that, either the entire dent would be gone, or you'd have just a small section to fiddle with left over. Really made a lot of sense, and showed me the things I had done wrong trying to remove my own dents with those glue guns and such. And don't even get me started on the various blocks of wood and hammers I have used over the years trying to get dents out.

The book is relatively cheap, and it's a good read for a cold and/or rainy day.

Excellent book I have the same one a little earlier edition I think. Not a lot has changed in technique other than the gauge metal is a lot thinner and some of the metal properties because of quality grade. after getting this book late 80s a friend- body Repairman recommended I get a quality set of hammer dolly and practice on old doors and fenders, best advice, couldn’t hurt much as the old parts were trashed. Great learning experience.

After this person who shall remain nameless kicked my door and rear quarter panel passenger side (he was enraged - regardless, he would not do that ever again after I had a discussion with him) I drove down to a convenienc store (this is like 3 am) and left the girl in the car and went in the mens room and grabbed the plunger. Told the bemuse clerk that I'd bring it right back as I walked out the door. Went to the rear panel, carefully afixed the plunger, and popped that dent right out. Perfect. The passengers door had a rubber and metal door ding guard on it, so the plunger could not work. Should have pulled it off and done it anyway, but other things took precedence. Took the plunger back and put it in the john, gave the guy 2 bucks (a fair amount of money then) for using it for five minutes.

Ill have to pick up the book Stormtrooper. Thanks. So here’s the latest: went to see a guy my cousin (another car guy) recommended. Ive got an appointment for next Monday for repair. In the meantime I pulled the interior out of the rear to make it easier for the guy, and cheaper for me. What I have pictured is what he’s going to have to deal with. Plenty of wiggle room in the cabin but plenty of bracing between him and the exterior panel. Too bad the Mopar rear seat delete kit isn’t available, I’m pretty much there.

lol, you didn't remove that factory trunk brace?!

That should make it a piece of cake.
