I'm not talking about communism. ( not a good thing at all). And I'm not talking about poor people either . I'm small business owner that acutelly do more business when fuel is low because people have more money in their pocket at the end of the week so they go out and spend more . People travel more , small out of the way towns generate more revenue from more people visiting and spending money , people making minimum wage have a few more bucks in there pocket , people that drive for a living can actually make a few more bucks because they are not working just to put fuel in their vehicles. There are acutelly other businesses and people outside of "big oil" .

As most of you know, I am about the farthest thing in the world from a communist (though I did have a Mexican army lieutenant accuse someone I was with of being one as he pursued us across the square in front of the presidential palace in Mexico City with a drawn 1911 followed by a fire team toting M16s in 1983 or 1984), but I have to point out that, other than a few early months after the russian revolution true communism has never really been applied. It has always been a front / facade for totalitarian dictatorships.

You got us . This is a front . This is actually a dog sled refueling station . The good stations like this serve whale blubber or moose meat the the dogs . The cheap one use what ever dead carcass they can find .

When I pulled into the PetroCan the other day and saw 90.x c/L my brain failed to comprehend the number value.

It was like dividing by zero.

Just a thought I had this morning. We see the complete fear & chaos spreading across the country, affecting all people & businesses. Will it affect the gas, heating oil availability. Will the govt shut down or allocate the fuel production as a way to control movement? We seem to be heading down a rabbit hole. Meanwhile crazy Pelosi and her socialist party are still pushing open borders and against bans....

I heard gas could be one dollar a gallon even here in Mass. only problem now with the Wuhan there is no place to go. Another huge issue is with over the road Truckers having no place to eat. Many restaurants are close and they are not going through the drive thru with the big rigs.

Yes correct . It was $1.25 per liter ......
$1,25 - .839= .411

$.41 per liter
70 liter tank
Savings is $ 28.77 per tank

For us Canadians that's pretty big .

I fill up my service van about 3 times per week and my wife fills her journey about 1 time per week . That's over $100 at the end of the week or over $400 per month in my pocket . That's just my family alone!

RBOB gas now $0.63!

That is the market price now. Add US & State taxes and a small profit, and that should be the cost to us now! Have a buddy who owns gas stations. After talking with him yesterday, I might go work for him. They are making a lot of money right now.

The gas station from the picture above the manager told me they make $0.02 per liter sold . They make the bulk of their money on merchandise in the store .

Not right now, they are making big bucks off the spread before competition heats up between them.

The station in my picture is not privately owned and all fuel prices are set by the head office . I don't see many privately owned stations they are all big companies ( petro can, shell, esso, ultramar, )

I remember paying 29 cents for a large loaf of Wonder bread, now I pay 3.99. Are they also bad. We talk about what we pay for gas, maybe the govt needs to eliminate gas guzzlers so that there is more gas at lower price points. How about the insurance companies? Why don’t we complain about high liquor & wine prices. If govt starts controls, where does it end. Competition & consumption drive prices. Look at what the internet did to prices... Just offering my thoughts on this and not meant as a personal attack on anybody.
I’m glad gas is coming down. It will help me afford a Coke once in a while! A 20 oz Coke at the local convenience store is now over $2.00! You can get a deal at the 7-11 at 2 20 oz Cokes for $3.50! That’s getting up there. I remember buying 2 liter Cokes for .79. A 12 pack is over $6 if not on sale. You can get a 24 pack at Walmart for $7.50 or so. That’s over $0.60/can. Used to be $0.25/can not that long ago. Hope the federal government doesn’t start taxing soft drinks!

I don't buy soda unless it's on sale. $5 and up for a 12 pack is ridiculous. If they can sell it on sale for $3.50 or less and still make a profit...why should I pay them $5, 6. or 7 dollars for it.

Wonder how Coke-Cola stock prices are doing? Probably the only one not affected these days...

Okay, I don't drink soft drinks, but how the heck do you guys keep them in the cup?!?

I could see having one in my 3500 while towing, maybe, but in the 'Cat it would be somewhat evenly distributed between the seats, side windows, and the rear window.

I have one of those stainless steel insulated travel cups that has a nice fitting lid with a silicone sealing ring....got it on Amazon for $20 or less. Keeps my drink cold for a very, very long time and will keep the ice for hours after the drink is gone. Well worth the money.
