It's annoying on my wife's Jeep, but on my new Hemi Ram the eTorque system is relatively seamless. Unfortunately, for all the complexity of eTorque, it doesn't help real world economy at all. It's all for the EPA tests/window sticker.

That works fine for phone calls and texts, but not for using the phone's nav on the 8.4 screen. Especially for us poors that don't have the factory nav.

Ok, I totally get that! I constantly have to jump back in my Charger to grab my phone out of the console (usually while swearing). Not an issue in my new Ram since it has a nice, visable spot for my phone to sit in the gigantic center console.

MapQuest is still a thing? I haven't used MQ since the days when you had to print the directions out at home and take them with you on the trip! Now I feel old. I don't know about MQ, but Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps will display everything right on the 8.4 screen and announce directions...

Why not just plug it in the center console USB and leave it in there? Android Auto & Car Play does everything you need to mess with in the car right on the 8.4 screen anyways. The mount is a better solution than just throwing it on the seat though.
