I went. It's always cool, but there was a ton of rain the previous night so instead of being spread out and neatly organized on the golf course, they had to scramble Saturday morning to jam all the cars into the hotel parking lot and try to have some semblance of order. It was more like the...
Probably won't fit plywood. Not really apples to apples though. This is a 'mid-size' unibody (even though it's still huge). The Expedition is a 'full-size' body on frame vehicle (like a proper truck). A better comparison would be with the Grand Wagoneer. Or comparing the GCL to the Explorer.
My sister has a '20 Durango and I've ridden in the 3rd row. I'm 6' and I didn't have a problem getting back there and I had reasonable room with another adult back there. Not as easy as a minivan, but you'd probably just get one of those if ultimate people moving utility was top priority...
1- Not everyone works a 9-5.
2- They're so easy to steal that assholes will take them in broad daylight.
3- Can't lock it away at work (at least I can't). Ask FCA employees about missing Chargers/Challengers from plant parking lots...
Except the car is set up to be the hotspot and not the other way around. Plus even if that did work, once you remove your phone from the vehicle, the car is now 'unplugged' from the network and can't be remote started from the app (since that seems to be the primary useable feature for cell...
Like everyone said, Performance Pages will not be affected. Just the cell connection stuff (SOS, vehicle health status, app remote start/lock/unlock) won't work anymore.
If anyone uses the overpriced Guardian Service I was getting emails that they are offering a 4G upgrade to keep the services...
I think you should read that as: 'of the (few) all new models we introduce from now till 2025, 98% will have some sort of an electric or hybrid option available'. They love to phrase the marketing jargon so they're not technically lying, but it sounds way more impressive than it actually will be. 😄
I mean... For '15-'16 you could pretty much do exactly that. $795 to 'unlock' nav on non-nav cars. I'll bet they didn't have a lot of takers, thus the newer cars with Android Auto/Carplay got rid of that. But also do any cars with AA/CP really need it?
I understand what you're saying...
Charging a monthly fee for items that are already physically present and doesn't require a radio/data connection in a car is beyond stupid. Tesla was caught removing already paid for features on pre-owned vehicles. Imagine buying a used (insert make/model here) with adaptive (or full auto)...
One of the primary ways they steal these is plugging in a tablet to the OBD2 port, start it, and drive away. We put a dummy plug in the stock spot and pushed the original plug up into the dash where it would be hard to find.
You can turn off passive entry or keep your fobs in a metal box or...
Yep. Totally normal. It can take several power cycles for everything to 'load'. Sorry, should have warned you about that. All FCA vehicles with the 8.4" or 12" touchscreen seem to do this.
These cars seem to be very sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Just a little low and they can go nuts. My son's '17 Charger did something similar a few months ago. No problem starting and some weird codes, then dead (no start) one day. Charged it and it threw random codes again a couple days...
No I wouldn't expect Tesla to do that type of repair, and you're right, I would expect my insurance to handle that type of incident. I would, however, expect Tesla to design an exposed fluid coupling such as that to either be bolt on/replaceable or protect it better from common things like road...
Did you read the article? Dude has a nearly new Model 3. Road debris broke an exposed coolant fitting that is molded into the battery case. So nothing wrong with the battery really, but bad design means that officially the only fix is to replace the whole thing. Independent shop fixed it for...
