Hello, wanted to know everyones thought on tire size, Im am currently running 305 35 20 MT street tires on the rear on a 20x11 wheel. Was thinking about switching to a 315 30 20 or even a 325 30 20 MT street. My question is which tire would better fit my application. Im going for looks and traction so not sure if its better to have a bigger side wall or wider tires. redeye has around 830WRHP. Its been turned down for street driving and occasion 60=130 rolls.

My rear wheels are 20 x 11.5 (also have Phillips fender flares so they don't stick out beyond the body)
Originally had 335 30 20 on them, but went with a 315 35 20 (I think, need to verify) nitto

30 in both of those sizes will be shorter the stock. 315/35/20 will be the same height as the 275/40/20, 28.66"

I have 305 35 20 square set up now. I like my MT SS rears. was thinking about going 315 or 325 but only NITTo"s make 315 35 20. MT makes 315 30 20 and
toyo r888 has 325 30 20. so which has better grip for street use with 830rwhp

The MT SS in the rear would be a TERRIBLE idea bro. I had a Redeye making 870 whp on 93 octane and I had the MT SS tires in the rear and it was a SKATING pond going down the hi way. I tried like 4 different tires they all sucked till I put the Pro Radial on.

U want the MT Bracket Pro radial. U dont need nor want a square setup with a RWD car the width isn't what ur after its COMPOUND and the MT SS is useless for that in the rear. Its a decent FRONT tire tho.

They only make ONE tire in this compound that fits ur 20 inch rim. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING will hook better than this in a 20 inch configuration FACT!...... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3340r

Id put the MT SS up front tho for sure or the Nitto NT555 G2 will work just as well.

You can try and buy what you want, and all of you who are suggesting things that you say work, let’s see your STREET times on those drag radials and all that shit that does not like rain, wet or even damp roads, and good track prep.

Real experience info.

Tuned, REWB— Near new Michelin PS4S; 345/35 on 12” wide wheels. 10.8 sec 135 mph. Stone overlay on asphalt. Crap hole shot, right? Now give me those MT’s on some wheels on a prepped track and it may gain a second on the et, but that speed indicates WTF we all are dealing with, that is not going to change much. Lots of torque!! On concrete it has better grip, but we do not have concrete in a place where I safely run a test once a while away from anything. You all can do the math on the top end speed to determine that is one boatload of horsepower. You cannot use ALL that power on the road ANYWHERE legally and safely. Good to have and plenty of fun, I like it, but you need good all around street tires and these are the best units. That stuff without thread will make you very concerned on a slick road surface.

More good news facts for you sir. My car is also lowered with the Eibach Pro kit. On the front, it has 11” wide staggered (I hate that wheel do not do it). A 315 is pictured, but also 325/30’s work. The rear is simple no problems back there. For my car anyway the front is a SOB.

The only time I used DR's on the street was driving to the dragway. But the PS4S really is an excellent street tire! I would seriously trust DGatzby's advice!

I use 18" drag radials exclusively but only spring summer and fall in dry weather.

Works great.
