Left it for a few days. Just a couple of quick wipes will be necessary when I return this weekend. Had to cover it, the spruce tree pollen is raining yellow powder around my yard. Highlights the Octane Red in minutes, even inside where the other door opens and closes. The Durango I washed Saturday has even more yellow on it than its Diamond Black metallic!

Took the Triple Red to a cars and coffee meet in Millstone NJ on Sunday. It's a big event they have once a month. You actually have to buy a $10 ticket in advance (they sell out) to get in. It was a nice drive and the car now officially has 2,024 miles on it!

Changed my rear diff fluid at the dealer this morning. Said it came out pretty black. Have 41k miles on it. Was like $230 out the door. They also did a courtesy warranty fix on my upper console light/sunglasses holder piece.

Ouch! That's a lot for removing and tightening two plugs, plus maybe $25 worth of fluid (if it's the expensive Amsoil).

And another ouch for going 41K on what was most likely an underfilled diff to start with. I like to check the level as soon as the vehicle comes off the trailer, and install a magnetic plug in the process. Then at 500-1,000 miles, change the fluid and clean the magnet.

With the break-in crap out of there I feel confident to go another 15K or so before changing it again.

well thanks for letting me know you were willing to change my diff fluid the whole time ;)

So when do you want to do my transmission fluid?

Hmm. I really wouldn't mind trying it on your car first.

That way I could do it correctly next time, on mine.

Haha, and where are you getting all the diff fluid for $25 too?

Amazon, usually. And if I'm not prepared, at the NAPA in town.

A 'Cat only takes just over a quart, so some $22 for Amsoil, then leftovers from prior changes.

Where did you get the magnetic drain plug?

I've been getting them from Amazon, Votex. P/N DP001 for the engine and DP009 for the level plug, if memory serves me.

Also, one of our 'Cat guys makes really strong ones, but naturally I can't remember his screen name now.

Annual wax. Now I don't want to take it out because the pollen is so bad! 24_Annual_Wax.jpeg

My car has an inflated opinion of itself. I knew the speedo was about 2.5mph high in the 1.5mi (probably the 305 PS4S’s) but today I noticed it says it’s .3 sec faster in the ¼ than the dragway ticket! Now I’m wondering what else it might be lying to me about! I guess I am supposed to believe my baby and never check on it! I guess that's what is love all about... :) 194.jpeg 9_9.jpeg

Took it out on Sunday. Wheels all fixed and love the darker color than stock. :)

That shot looks like something you would see in a Dodge ad or sales brochure. Very good pic, even if it is a 4 door ;)
