I watched for hours of “live feeds” yesterday trying to see him and I could never find his race, did they split up heavyweight or something?

Does that put Z back on top for world’s fastest charger?

I think so. The run was at night so maybe finals against a camera from Michigan that may have broke, easy win.

Z bumped through the lights in the finals against Casey Hoong. Casey ran a 8.12 @170 for the 3rd pass in a row!! That 3.8 Whipple blower only car is working at 4000 lbs. super awesome seeing an all Mopar finals.

Z's 7.4 @184 is the new record!

I'll take the win. Records are temporary. Wins are forever.

This!! The win is more important to me as well. I will never shoot for any record. I'm not sponsored, no free parts, no shop working on my car. I cant afford to be fast.

Welp, bumping through the lights can happen to anyone. Technicality in my opinion, obviously the faster car.

Just proves that you don't have to be the fastest to win.

So many upsets yesterday. Fastest on paper doesn't mean you will win every race.

After coming back from my record setting pass, I had to quickly turn the car around for the final around and that included checking everything that I could including catch cans, a couple fresh plugs I put in for reading purposes, logs, coolant pressure, and all the usual stuff like ice, fan to cool the trans down, etc. All while being congratulated. I got help turning the car around for the last round from Chris Baily and his wife and then before heading up, I decided to drink a Red Bull, I probably shouldn’t have, lol.

When it came time to bump in and get on the two step, I forgot to press the button for that + trans brake so I launch through the beams. I let off, then it stalls in front of everyone watching while Casey takes off and runs another 8.1 for the win.

Could it be any more embarrassing? That feeling quickly pass because guess what? I tune for Casey the new TX2K Heavyweight winner, so in a way I still feel like I won too.

Honestly I couldn’t be happier with this outcome. I don’t have to feel guilty about beating a client. I hate that feeling. I’ll take the record for now. It may not live on forever but the memory of doing it with the world watching will.

I’ll try do a more detailed Facebook post tonight after I get home. I still have a 6 hour trip home from the track to make (including stops). It’s been a long week. This news just a preview for you guys.

In my humble opinion, wins and records, even the “1st” to whatever records are temporary and forgotten as years pass by. They’re only permanent in the minds of those who reach those goals. For example, no one remembers who won first year of TX2K heavyweight except maybe the person who won it.

Congrats to you and your teammates. You push the boundaries. Ill never be that fast but I do enjoy the banter we share about my planned 8.5 index boat.

Ive got a lot to learn and sitting here myself in the car Im thinking about how busy it will be managing transbrake, bump and manually shifting. So hat’s off it aint an easy task.

Great job this weekend!

In the end, nobody will remember it but the person who wins the event or holds the record.

You will be erased from the record books when someone breaks it in the future but if you win, that will never change. You will always be the winner at that event and particular date.

Just my backyard opinion and nothing else.

You had a great event and you are a winner. We've all seen it time and time again.

Congratulations again @
