Agree! I have three security cameras around my building, a gate that is similar to Ft. Knox, solid core doors on my building and additional area lighting. After reading about this theft, I am looking into additional security measures. Too much security, is just enough...

Why would that matter? They don’t even need to bring a relay, just pull the one next to it like high beams and put in its spot. Starter relay also just needs a jump between 2 spots for a second, no need for a relay. They all know this and to reconnect the red wires at the pts.
I engineered a version of "kill switch", but was aware of the above was possible. So that was the reason I armored the TIPM. They would have to spend some time forcing their way into it. It ain't pretty, but it may discourage them. I later added a padlock in addition to the TORX security bolt shown.

I misunderstood the meaning behind your question. I apologize. The way it was worded sounded like you doubted they would go through all of that to get the car
Good to hear. Didn't know if never hardware had any newer features kind of thing. Installed prior to drag week 2024 so a little over a year old. Durango getting one before the end of the year.
without going into detail...the access road to my garage is over 300 ft..lazer motion protecters..then two multilocked solid doors...then inside a host of security goodies that most couldn't afford...trust me nobody's gettin in there...
Depends on the platform. There are various options above what is the basic install. Basic install is 1200.00 (this includes the unit). Please be aware that there is a floor price and that is it determined by distributers and the IGLA group as a whole. Anyone installing for lower than that may be running afoul of the IGLA network.
For our shop, installation is drop off only. Once installed we will contact the customer and request an hour of their time to go over the initial settings, the features installed and a write up of what we discussed to keep in a safe place.
