Has anyone here installed R2 Motorsports solid motor mounts?
If yes what are the pros and cons?
Cheers

Supposed to transfer a fuzz more power to where it counts as long as you don’t mind the vibration.

Not the best idea for a street car imo, @fumanchu182 has solid motor mounts, he could give advise from his perspective.

I’ve got solids in my Roadrunner. Rear view mirror gets fuzzy depending on the frequency of the vibrations. Rattles are exaggerated. They do sort of suck for the street. Love to pull them one day, but it wont be anytime soon.

I had them n my cars for years with no issue’s whatsoever. The other thing to be concerned with is the transmission mount?

By comparison, it seems as though our mounts are pretty rigid already?

What are you trying to accomplish by installing them?
I think your goals with the investment and whether or not you’ll meet them are more important than subjective opinions about them in general.
Personally, probably one of the last things I would ever do to the car… but if your goal is to mount the engine more solidly to the car, they might just do the trick.

If you run solid mounts you’ll find the weakest link in your drive train. Some of this stuff helps lessen the blow.

It's the diff/axles.

I run solid motor mounts in my street hellcat, if I could find a set of factory ones that aren't boku dollars I'd switch back in an instant. Knock sensors will need to be desensitized and yeah the body will vibrate a lot.

Don’t need them for a street car like yours, overkill

I want to make sure I don't have some dumb failure that takes me out during a race. this is more a precaution than anything.

All I’m saying is the 170 cuts a 1.2 60’ and runs 8.9, regular motor mounts

Not sure I’ve ever seen motor mount failures on these cars, but let me know how the poly ones are and how they hold up

You do see I've been far faster than that right? I did that with my stock hellcat engine. added safety and security and piece of mind. plus who can say no to faster weight and power transfer? better reaction times! many added benefits!
