That’s the thing, I don’t have a username or password. If you use your Google account to login, you don’t have credentials of your own, you only have access by way of Google. In the screenshot above you can see that it says I don’t have a username or password. Two factor has always been off on this site. I don’t know how it works with Google getting me in, honestly.

On the password screen it says “request a password be mailed to you”…

I think it is DNS related. Because it moved me back to org at some point. My .com short cut started redirecting me to .org.

Well turns out my shortcut was .org. I cannot get back to .com since this morning. But my laptop and phone arent resolving an ip address for .com

Not seeing an A record. Did you just add the .com record last night? DNS can be a pain. My least favorite is dns and on prem exchange servers.

Using the .com variation now, seems to be quicker but late afternoon /early evening is the real trial !

Didn’t notice this last night, but when I click on “authenticate with Google” when I pick my Google account it changes from Hellcatforums.com to hellcatforum.org at that screen.

Nice! hellcatforums.com works better for me at work, even with the crappy CBII connection we now use.

One thing, though, I can't steal memes anymore, when I try to save, it comes up as a .webp vice a .png or .jpg - didn't something else change in the last couple of days?

I’m in the .com and so far so good, even on LTE.

I honestly haven't been on a bunch in the last couple of days, life got really busy...


But, while the .com address does seem to be faster than the .org address, neither are as fast as the site was (intermittently anyway) those first couple of days after we made those server changes.



Seems odd and illogical....
