Checkpoint was NPD in Ocala. They opened up their car collection for us all to see. Most were concours quality. Pictures can't do it justice.

Made it to Georgia tonight. South Georgia Motorsports Park tomorrow, then back to Gainesville tomorrow afternoon with the checkpoint being KSR Racing.

Thursday afternoon heading home for the night. Checkpoint is a beach bar not far from our house. Then back to Orlando on Friday for the finale and awards.

So far this has been fantastic event with great people, drag racing, food and with a great vibe. Car people are some of the best people in the world.

I think I would do this with the Scat Pack. Just a tire pressure change and on to the next track.

looks like a ton of fun, and i have been very impressed and intrigued with the drag-n-drive crowd and their grit ever since i started following it after seeing Tom Bailey exhibitions at the Gatornationals in '21 when he had the fire. Never really knew much about it before then.

Looking at the results sheet last night, looks like about 60 cars are out.
I think Clay Millican is competing. Haven't seen him yet. Tony Angelo is in the metal flake Firebird that's image is above. Cool dude. Finnegan is shooting Roadkill or he would be there.

Nice shot. In 1977-78 I ordered that car while in the AF in Cheyenne, and had the first one delivered in the Western Region. Sans the damn chicken on the hood and had the better upgraded wheels, the real TA 6.6 & the 4sp. Shed several tears the day I had to sell it to continue with college.

That's in their restoration shop. Looks like half the place is dedicated to the car collection and the other half to the business.

That's very close to the one I purchased in Oct 78 it was a 1979 model while stationed in commiefornia. Sold it when I retired from the Army in 94.

Wow these been going on for 20 years. Hot rod started it and have been others ones that have started up. Local friend won one of the 1st ones in small block n/a class
