Good choice on the purple @Illegal_Demon! She's a beauty and I know you waited a long time. I'm sure it was worth it!!! :)

Thanks all, you are too kind.

I love it. Still in break in miles, but I can already tell (esp trans shifts) that it really is next level over the OG performance-wise. I HAD to get PCP. My back seats were never being used plus I want to race so one less thing I need to remove, lol. If we are being 100% honest, and I feel like I am allowed to say this because I own both Demon variants, I think the OG is more of a looker. Flairs all around and aesthetically better-looking wheels. The D170 does win in the 60s dragster look category though. The sloped rear-to-front raked look is classic and actually provides better visibility out the front!

A long wait but man, so worth it....

Think I'll go with 1FAST29 for the plate... ;)

That purple looks good. Red is "my color" but the PCP is a close second.

I'm with you regarding the cosmetics. I was never really a fan of the slab side look(personal preference and all..) but when the WB came out I just had to have one. And around here we've been calling the 170 The Mullet.

Speedy and I were talking the other day when he brought his 170 to my shop to try on some wheels. He prefers the slab side look, I prefer the WB look and we decided that the 170 al least had one end that we each could like. LOL

Any way you slice it the 170 is THE KING of the second generation of factory Muscle Cars. [grinking]

There is no point to having a March HFCOTM submissions and poll, we already have the unanimous winner right here.

Don Carlton circa 1972, 9.60's gets you in pro stock finals.
Now factory warranty insane.
Maybe Hellcat of the decade.

Was there ever an answer on how the 315/55 tire damaged the car?

Way back when Cole asked a second time, nicely, I called him. I don't like posting negative things about the car and I did not want to get too involved with this thread. Especially since I did not start it.

This is not Rocket Science. If you want your Demon 170 to be pristine, do not run them. If you can handle minor damage, then Lock out the Cradle and run them. If you can handle kind of a lot of Damage then run them without the cradle lockouts. But, either way it's just the taller tire rubbing on the car. With Lockouts they will STILL rub on the tub and the bolt at the front. So grind it down or change it out for a pan head. They may still kiss the bottom of the fender flare.
