Looks like it broke!

If it were me, I'd get a new drive shaft. For how much abuse they have to take vs the cost vs how much damage "could" occur if it broke in some odd way it wouldn't be worth the risk for me personally.

Did I see the 2018+ front sway bar is 10 lbs lighter than previous models? Wonder why that is?
Thats what I am thinking too.

My car is a 2018 and my front sway bar weighs about 20 lbs....

Because the owners are better looking. ;)

Indy, What are you doing with the old one? I have capability of rebuilding yoke assy and rebalancing it, would be interested if you are giving up on it.

I'm not 100% sure yet . It's a hell of a drive for a broken driveshaft .

Well boys and girls I finished removing the exhaust and adaptors tonight . The differential one is fine the trans one is junk (obviously). But the trans, flange, mount etc are all in perfect shape. The insulation has a few rips in spots but the floor underneath doesn't have a scratch on it. Although one of the exhaust pipes has a very small dent nothing serious. I have inspected everything I'm happy to say no serious damage to the car just the driveshaft and 1 adaptor .

I think I may put the factory driveshaft back on just so I can move the car around while I wait for my new driveshaft.

Why did the demon get a different driveshaft if the 2016 and up was stronger? I'm sure I can break the stock one ..... I'm great at breaking parts

It is just another case of a few early incidents leading to a perpetuated myth.

Do you think the stock driveshaft will hold up? I'm open to everyone's views.

Well the young guy with the Orange cat that runs similar times to me still has his stock one. As well as the car that runs mid 9's.
Neither of them are out nearly as much as I am. Now neither has had an issue, yet.
I've also read of one that failed on stock tires as well as a few with Nitto's at the track.
Could it last for a weekend? Sure it could. It could also fail spectacularly.

My thinking is the manufacturer will design something to work on a stock car( because that's what they build) I'm sure they are not going to spend the money to make something they will never need . Once a person modifies the car you are pushing the parts harder then they were designed for .
Am I wrong in thinking this? To be honest I worry about all the stock parts in the car .
