Now this is absolutely not track related, something I just found interesting. I recently went to pick up around 350 pounds of material for one of my businesses in the Charger (it's compact, dense stuff so it easily fit in the trunk). After taking water to a lab to be tested headed back to my town. When I got here, took the car out to my "spot" and did a few 0-60 runs in it (probably 8, back to back). Then went and unloaded it and returned and ran a few more runs (probably 4 or so). Temp was 110, moderate humidity, middling barometer, crappy west texas highway standard "white" asphalt with some dust and small amounts of field chaff on the surface. Stock A8 with 11 x 20s with 305 555Rs on the rear at 2580 or so feet (going by memory). Tires have some miles on them, still have tread depth but are on the way to being slicks. With the added 350 pounds behind the axle ran 4.1 to 4.3. Most interesting to me was there was no wheel spin - which in this spot on this material is the killer of launches. Launched at 2000 rpm and even it just hooked. However, this may have had more to do with the temp and tire conditions than the weight because when I launched after unloading, ran virtually the same times and while there was a little spin, not nearly so much as there is usually. Also, this was 3/4 or more full tank of 93.

EDIT: previous best 0-60 in that spot is 3.5 to 3.6 ranges, dry cool are in low 40s.

Interesting.
What is your best 0 to 60?

Looks like the DA was horrible compared to dry cool low 40's. I say DA difference.

That's the best (the 3.5 to 3.6 average in the dry cool air, low 40s). yes, the DA was vastly different.
