Negative Battery Post

My car sits like that and definitely drains it, killed my 1st battery @ 2 years ! I connected a pigtail w/quick connector to the battery itself and hook it up to the trickle charger if it's going to sit for more than a week. Easier to open/close the trunk than the hood & you can close the trunk lid on the wire when charging. Probably overkill, but I've had no battery issues since.

Exactly what I've done with the charging pigtail.

I wasn't planning on being gone at all, then suddenly had to leave for 6 weeks.
My awesome sister in law figured out how to get to the battery in everything I own, and moved my charger from one thing to the next twice daily for me. I was expecting to have at least a dozen dead batteries.
She was smart enough to put the bikes and jet skis on low charge to. The vehicles and boat on medium, and the big equipment on high.

She said she watched me doing it a few time.

I bought her a polaris sportsman 570.

Bought the MIL, and FIL a honda pioneer.

The Pioneer is what's getting my interest now. The 700.

I drove their demo around some, its nice. Sister in law tried a few quads, she liked the sportsman 570. They had no units left for sale, just some demo's.
The 570 is coming from another dealership, will be arriving mid week or so. The Pioneer is back ordered, I made a deposit on it, but no firm delivery date, they guessed December or January.

Yeah. Pickin's are very slim around here too. Figuring sales will slow a little around the holidays since the weather will be colder then.

And banks are starting to back off on lending, as so many are defaulting.
