Dealer tossed them off my 2015 HC. I was heartbroken and took them to task:rolleyes:. When the REWB came in, they ceremoniously presented it to me and I put it on a shelf - somewhere.:cool:

I go Commando.

My dealership said they don't take them off unless customers tell them too because so many people want them left on. I wish they had left my screen protector on.....but they didn't. I would've gladly traded the splitter guards for that. I took mine off during a deep clean of the car and put them on the shelf.

Dodge did NOT consider curb strike/curb rash protection for the front cover. There is NOTHING on the bottom of the cover to protect it should you accidentally get too close to a curb and scrape.

Dodge, why didn't you consider some type of protection for the front cover????????

I took mine off and then just scraped a curb. Went back to the dealer, got a pair and had them painted to match the Demonic Red Interior and reinstalled them.

So the pink ones are actually from the factory? Wow. What shit they look like. Get the Fng things off of there. I guess going to black is the perfect solution. No one will notice or care anymore.

Those look kinda cool painted like that.
The day before I took mine off I pulled into an angled spot in front of my bank and barely clipped the front corner of my splitter. I was glad that I had the guard on then. if the SRT designer is so worried about them messing up the lines of his design, he should tell Dodge to make them in black, that way they blend in. Then he can stop crying about it.

They're not designed to be there, they are for shipping only. They will collect debris underneath them and ruin the front spoiler over time. I shake my head every time I see someone around town with them still on the car. I have mine, they're in the bottom drawer of my tool box in the event I need to ship the car for some reason.

That would be awesome if they do. I just shake my head at all the gnashing of teeth and shedding of tears that some people do over what other people do with their cars. And then when the SRT designer went to the media and started crying about it, well that just made it even sadder. I'm surprised that he didn't need to go to his "safe space" due to being "triggered" by all of those bad people who left those guards on. If Dodge was smart, they'd make them in lots of colors and sell them. Just like I've thought about doing.

But that's what makes 'Murica great. It's no different than people putting graphics on their cars. That ruins the paint of the car as it fades and wears differently than the areas of the car without the graphics. if there are fade marks on the splitter, any tire shine product will take care of that, or you replace it. Hell, you could have it wrapped fairly cheaply. There ain't a wax in the world that will fix the paint difference from graphics. You have to start cutting the paint with various compounds and remove layers of paint to fix that. Of course, then you run the risk of cutting through the top coat into the base coat....and then...you are screwed.
