I am, at this time, running a stock system with a K & N with out the box. In the piping world. When we are determining size and turn of pipes. We figure a 90 degree turn to equitant to 10 feet of pipe. Tubing,, I will have to look it up. I can understand the boost dropping with temp change. Pressure.

That is bad. Hose too long the reason it kinked and moved backwards. May have to take it off and shorten it up.

See if you can find a couple of these at a local auto parts store and cut whatever sections you need that'll work for you. There are a lot of other options too out there on pre-molded hoses that are 3/4" but you'd have to do some digging to find them.

Either way you look at it,,,, it has to come off. Just a street 90 and 2 connectors. Very short.

Of note i also wore the glasses, no leaks. Also on normal idle/cruise she gets cold, below or near 40* IC temps with iats staying at 69*.
You should get this from it

I’ve been fighting air pockets for days, all most thought I air locked the pump. I was so angry I said fuck this, restored the natural flow.

Still had air pockets. Got even angrier. Got a OEM tools fluid bleeder tool, used the flat cup and stuffed it in all the hoses to pull fluid. Have flow back. Will be monitoring it for air bubbles.

Another interesting tidbit that a lot people find hard to believe.

Boost is higher pre intercooler than post intercooler. Boost pressure drops after passing through the bricks, how much it drops depends on the temp change. The larger the drop in temp, the larger the corresponding drop in boost. There's some physics that explain this behavior but I'm not going to get into that. Once you get your post intercooler IAT"s under control, you'll see that your boost will be back down to normal or maybe even lower than before if you're IAT"s stay below 120F the whole way down the track.

This is what I have found to be quick and easy to get air out of the system. There are 2 hoses that run under the over flow. Get some vise grips and crimp the top hose and take the cap off and let the car run for a bit. You will see the air bubbles come out. I did this on Jon's car and did it on mine when I put the blower spacers on and again Saturday

You don’t have a vacuum filler tool

That is why I mentioned an air separator and or separator. You install it on the high side and it automatically lets the air out.

Those lines are gone in my current configuration. However was thinking of fabricating a port.

I would have no place to use it, no small port to pull vacuum from. I need to add a tee with a cap.

You are correct. however there is a bleeder valve on the back of the supercharger that does the same thing. In my instance since BMR instructions force you to change the flow of the coolant I had a bad air pocket in the lower hose I could not get out, it was deadlocked. Now that the coolant flow is restored I just need to find a good location for a tee and that can be my vaccum port.

So, this flow change thing you mention, inlet on the bottom and outlet on the top, or reversed?

With the bmr tank they attach the tank to the top port which is the outlet on a stock setup, then they attach the outlet to the bottom which was the old inlet. Instant air pocket.

So is the outlet now the inlet now? Don’t get how ic coolant is 60F but intake temp is 35F unless the ic temp is the outlet temp???

one uconnect update has a flaw in which the gauges are flipped, hp tuners shows the real values.

So Cecil Dragway cancelled. Wasn't feeling like driving that far anyway. Went to my local Capitol raceway. Needed to ensure I was starting the season off where I left off, 9.6 or bust! So I got my 9.6 on Capitol's prep surprising and got my 1.3 60'.

1649553583843.png

The killer chiller is doing it's job! Due to how the staging lanes were set and where I was actually always first in line (shortened lines are a disadvantage for me as I want the chiller to get cold) I wasn't always starting at the coldest temps but it put in work and happy to report no timing was pulled.

Start of the log with the coldest starting condition:
1649554233536.png

LTR was 54* F, ACT was 78.8*, excuse the graph, HP Tuners has a glitch where if it loses connection it will interpolate data, this is what happened here. Here is the end of the run:
1649554355840.png
I'll take 107* at the end of the run all day! On my hotest pass it never got above 113*. Also had a chance to dial in my fuel where I was a little lean. Last pass was -.019 rich so I'd say I'm dialed in. I will be heading to VMP, if anyone else is there I'll be at the rental on Friday, gotta figure out where I can get a 9.5 from to be competitive. Youtube video this evening!
