Welll, the numbers are out again.

https://www.caranddriver.com/features/g29391390/lightning-lap-2019-times/

The WB Challenger from last year is still doing pretty well. Put some good R compounds on it and you'd drop about 4-5 seconds per lap on a course this long. It ran a 2:59.8 last year for reference.

I still contend that lap for the WB Challenger should not have been tallied as the best lap for the car. If you watch the video you may see the driver lost some time sliding the car aound and having to compensate. I say the car was 1-2 seconds faster than that if driven properly.

Funny they didn't test the Redeye in WB trim.

Mad respect to the 1999 NSX.

The 2018:

A little off topic, Motorhead, have you weighed your car yet?
My WB scat is 4400 with me in it and I weigh 205 lb's.

I feel like I should know why you say this, but I don't....

So what bothers you about it?

I'm not impressed with the video of the tire, there seems to be a ton of tire flex off of the rim. Low pressures?

Or are you not impressed with the line he's taken?

He's driving like he's never driven a heavy high power car before. 3 times in the lap IIRC he loses grip so much he has to countersteer and let out of the throttle. If that's not 1-2 seconds I don't know what is.

Agree, because he was a bit too quick on the throttle in some important corners. Almost looked like it was not in Track Mode the way it was bouncing around too. But, it looks fun!

Not yet - I am not even sure where I'd find reliable scales up around me? But, 4200lbs dry is pretty good for your SP; got to imagine the HC has an extra 100lbs of gear under the hood.

I have a moving company near me that lets you use the scales for $10. I also have a town dump that makes you pay for certain types of waste brought to the dump (mostly building materials). They make you pay by the pound for it. But they might let you pay flat rate for it if you asked? or just threw the guy 10 to use scales. Maybe u have something similar by you. Just ideas you may not have thought of.
