So, completely stock except for the 11x20s and 305 555Rs (which are nearly done - need to get those MT ET Street SSs on the car) and with a DA showing 6028, this lead sled ran a 11.8 at 122 on the weak, cold, TexDOT asphalt here. Nothing to see here, move along.

Need to live up in Canada, along the coast.

While I want to say that 11.8 on cold Texas asphalt is respectable I am just way too focused on your signature Isaac Asimov quote. Maybe it's because it's 2:47 am and I'm sorta drunk listening to Pink Floyd's Echos on my JBL Live 500bt headphones...

You sound like you're comfortably numb.

I was rather disappointed with my times too. Few months ago in the phoenix heat and DA showing 4300ft , I managed a measly 11.7 at 122.

60ft was a horrid 1.923 . That was with MT ET SS 305 on stock 20s. Tires were nice and warmed up too. They weren't breaking loose either...

I imagine it was mostly poor driver skills. Only my 2nd time with the cat at the track.

But now that I think about it, there was another charger hellcat there. Brand new octane red that ran low 13s at 120.

Did the track require a helmet to race (they should)? I noticed with my Hellcat the helmet masked the sound significantly, which made it hard to hear the tires spin. It felt like the car bogged off the line, but it was only excessive tire spin on the stock tires. This threw me off until I saw a video my wife made of the race - it was obvious my launch sucked that bad. After that I was able to get a decent launch since I used traction control - times improved from there.
Just saying you might have the same situation.

No at the track, just at my spot. So no helmet; they'd also probably not have allowed me to run in swim trunks with a cooler and two girls in the car.

Today was supposed to be last track day at local track, 28F here ATM, sun coming out, predicted 38 by noon, high of 48 around 3 pm predicted. This Track (Beaver Springs) is a 2 hour drive. I’m thinking it’d be a waste of time?? Got a new set of 315 05r’s mounted yesterday too. What’s too cold????

Too hours each way? I would probably go if you're sure it'll be in the high 40s, myself. I've made good runs in 42 degree weather before.

EDIT: and you're feeling hardcore and want to get it in before the weather turns impossible.

6000 DA is always fun. I grew up in Denver where the track is at 5880 feet and DA could be 8000+ so I know how it is

Ended up staying home and doing leaves all day, frozen now. Was 42-44 all day and windy. Turned over cast around noon, pavement in front of my house stayed cold all day, probably should have went but had chores to get done :(

NO problem man. Life happens. I never get to go to the track and it'll probably be at least 4 or 5 more years before I can go regularly.
