It is far and away the smartest EV truck the big 3 have come up with.

But what will it cost?

So with a dead battery the v6 isn’t moving the vehicle, it’s charging the battery or directly powering the electric motors… and how’s the performance during that operation?

The article reads like it was written by Ram's PR department, not an objective automotive journalist.

That being said it's actually promising if it delivers as it's written up here but you notice what's missing...the price.

Of course it'll vary according to trim level but I can see these being dang near 6-figures in a Laramie-style configuration.

A hybrid is a much more viable compromise than a straight EV, but knowing Stellantis as of late I'm sure they'll find a way to completely fuck this up...

True, current leadership can fuck up anything.

A highly fluff article. Can someone just break down the facts rather than offer it in a fairy tale edition?

I'm interested but as stated I want real numbers, performance and the price.

Do you really think many (or any for that matter) of the dealers will be capable of actually fixing that thing when something goes bump?

The facts are that the 3.6 V6 in its normal 300 hp form can deliver an easy 500 mile range, and with far less complexity and cost.

But not producing 650+ horsepower.

If you want that kind of power in a 1500, just buy a TRX.

It's going to have the Hurricane in it. Not going to happen.

Going to, but that doesn't mean you can't buy one now.

Besides, you should like that the TRX sits a bit higher, making it harder for the alligators to get in.

I'm staying put with what we have now.

The perfect truck has one, maybe 2, 12v batteries.
