How embarrassing. It’s hard to believe this is the same company that had the balls to give us the original HC, then the Demon. So what are they going to blame it on if they don’t build any 23s the supply chain?🙄
Arrogant European mindset...they're gonna piss on yer leg...and call it an explanation...then just show ya more pictures of their EV's

Build it and they will show up with their wallet. Don’t build it while others are building it and stand on the side line whilst other manufactures enjoy the sales, pure and simple. I dare say Corvette division of GM will be pounding out cars from the Bowling Green Kentucky plant.

I love that movie. My old boss (Philly Italian) and I constantly use lines from this movie and The Godfather flicks back and forth when we are talking crap about our bigger bosses or our work situations.

He sent me this the other day when I asked him how one of the mgmt meetings went :LOL:

Yes, of course, the chain. It's the biggest excuse in America. We shit canned all our domestic manufacturing to save a few bucks then cry when we cannot build anything and.look shocked and sad, like we have been betrayed. We did it to ourselves people, and it's a good damn shame. I go out of my way to buy American w everything and pushed against offshoring at Compaq and HP 25 years ago, but the tide was too strong. A voice in the wilderness.

Have to.pick up some MANPADS just to protect my property

I'm sure it's got plenty of foreign parts, but the '22 Jeep GC Summit I bought in July has the best fit and finish of any car I've owned. Engine and transmission are manufactured in the U.S. and final assembly is in Detroit. Refreshing.

@jroyk Good on you. Damn close to your back yard for final assembly plant. The town I grew up in built Buicks and Pontiac’s for decades. They had built a new paint assembly line in the 80s. It never sprayed one car. It was the worlds most advanced paint facility. When the paint facility construction was finally complete, GM had decided to pull out and build cars somewhere else because of Big mouth crybaby town official’s. Nice going, the down town area was vibrant with shopping and local restaurants flourished. Bet they wish they didn’t bust the Generals balls so hard. GM warned that if the couldn’t expand that it wouldn’t be worth staying at the plant. They wanted to build across the street from the existing plant after they got done with the new paint building. There was ample vacant land in the area. Now it’s some auto auction Facility. I can still picture the GTO’s on the the railroad cars going down the RR tracks to somewhere for it’s new home.

lol, for my business I just (like an hour ago) bought aluminum cups for use with the RO system (for customers, guests, whatever - employees have their own and, GASP, have to wash them), and they're made in the USA. I can even find most of the tools and heavy equipment from US "manufacturers" (watch out for those who are american made when they only assemble them in the US from all foreign parts - better than nothing, but if I can give other Americans a job, I'm willing to pay more). To hell with the Communist Chinese.

This is usually driven not only by land availability but by the demand from the company for tax breaks. Often this amounts to virtually no taxation for 20, 30 years, even indefinitely. It is a form of extortion in my opinion, pushing all taxation to the community onto the employees or sales tax. It's also a way to play communities off against each other to see who can beg and scrape for the jobs better.

Lansing is still a GM town. (It was a big Oldsmobile town when I moved to the area.) Most of GM's mid-size SUV's and Camaros :( are now built here. Between GM, Michigan State University, and state government, things have never gotten too depressed. Chelsea proving grounds is about 40 miles away. My neighbor, who is retired 101st Airborne Army Ranger, works for Stellantis and commutes 94 miles to Detroit every day. He told me he's working 60-70 hours a week.

Bobo beat me to the punch, Dodge is a shadow of what they were, and my recent experience with Ram is not good. I fear the new owners really don't give a s__t about us or CDJR. Apparently their marketing is steering them toward the "woke", but I'm not sure how the woke will actually purchase vehicles unless they are given to them by the gvt.

That fight scene was more realistic than you might think..Caan broke multiple ribs on the actor that played Carlo...he did not care for him in real life...

James Caan has always been a personal favorite. He did not play the hollywood game and didn't do as well as many actors with less talent.

Sounds like you are describing NFL franchises when they threaten to relocate. I think we have a theme. Unbridled capitalism (with no social guardrails) isn't much better than the universally vilified socialism.

Like most things humans touch, moderation of thought and action never seems to win out over the extremes.

Whenever the power of the poor versus the power of the rich is so out of balance, and not corrected by laws that are equitable and based on the good of society as a whole to protect the weak / poor from the strong / rich, there will be abuses, and if people are not careful, evil and long-term self-destruction.

Last I heard skilled trades. They give him a company car that he evaluates, so not sure if he still is skilled trades.

That opportunity is NOT offered to skilled trades, maybe he's an engineer or some other sort of higher management position? Trades do move into those types of positions on a regular basis.

I AM skilled trades for Stellantis and that is not normal for trades in any capacity.
