Interesting....the 5.3 is one of the most popular engine swaps in older cars and trucks...and everything else! The only big issue I ever heard of was with the cylinder deactivation and lifters wearing out causing havoc on some engines....which a lot of folks delete.

$2700 will buy a nice rotating assembly for all those turbo swapped 5.3s LOL.

Those guys also changed the ring gap or just threw new pistons in anyway. Can't beat GM up too much on this. Those 5.3s could make 800+ WHP on stock internals and a cam swap with boost.

My 5.3 is almost 20 years old, still going strong, extremely happy with it. Only thing I ever had to do was clean the crud from the throttle body. Sad that they took something so good and f'ked it up.

Kinda' makes me thing of what Stellantis is doing to Dodge.

Surprised there hasn't been one for Dodge and the faulty lifters in 5.7 engines.
