So we're going to PRI this year. I only became loosely aware of the DragDriveRepeat Summit Racing Drag & Drive World Championship standings about 7 or 8 weeks ago. We had just completed Buckeye Skips and weren't interested in another full event. We still had the itch though...so we looked into running MSHS @ The Rock. For a few hundred more and not much more difficulty logistically speaking...it made more sense to give Southeast Street-N-Yeet a go instead!
So that's what we did. Got a 2nd hand ticket, reserved our rooms and planned to go all out in the Daily Driver Class.
Oh. There's a World Championship for this stuff? Cool. There's 8.50 and 10.0 classes? At least the slowbois get love too! Wait...last years 10.0 champion was the same guy that punted me out of the shootout at HRDW 2024 and he had 78pts from 3 events? Oookkaaayy. How many do I have? HOLY...I'm in a trainwreck of a tie for 14th OVERALL (probably top 5 in class) after only 2 events with 60pts...and Street-N-Yeet is the last national level event of the year?
...is...there...a legitimate chance we could be in the running for the 10.0 class title? Well now we gotta run SnY and we gotta stay over a 6.50 1/8th mile average so all our points count. F%&k.
We did finish Street-N-Yeet 9th overall in DD class. 6.535 avg. Tabbed up 26pts for that combined with 26 for Sick Summer and 34 for qualifying #1 at HRDW. 86 total points. We knew it was gonna be close. #1 in class had 81 or 83pts from 3 events and I had no idea if they also ran SnY to improve on their standing.
About a week ago Mike Narx at DDR posts on Facebook asking if anyone knows so and so that drives a purple charger hellcat and asks if I'll be at PRI Thursday the 11th at 11am...
Because it turns out...WE ACTUALLY WON THE 10.0 CLASS!

We moved my appointment at Solo Performance back to the 15th so we can accept in person at the Drag & Drive Awards live from PRI! They'll be streaming starting at 11am and I'm told it should be about 40min into the presentation!
HOLY. S$&T. Fubar is your 2025 DragDriveRepeat Summit Racing Drag & Drive World Championship 10.0 Class winner!
