Ok so I’ve bought some Vossen wheels over the years and my local builder does a lot of business with them as well.

I told him I was getting a TRX in a few months and they already have some wheel renderings they are working on for the truck.

they haven’t sold any yet because the truck is so new.

they offered up a heavy discount for a guaranteed photo shoot for a clients truck if they agreed.

im considering it.

would like to hear your guys thoughts.

I for one live the factory beadlocks I ordered with the truck.

so I guess the idea would keep the off-road wheels foe doing off-road shit. And then get some custom vossen wheels for daily driving on the street. And possibly out a better street tire with more traction on it.

I will most likely be putting a pulley tune in this truck for pump gas. And my local builder Mario already has goldbergs launch TRX in his shop getting work done to it. It’s been on the dyno and he’s already working on some tunes and pulley swaps.

anyways here’s the pictures of the stock truck.

and here’s the pictures of the vossen wheels and one rendering so far.

I definitely want to keep the truck at 37” tall tires. So they are thinking 22” wheels and we can get an appropriate tire to keep the height like stock.

it’s ok if you hate the idea, just throwing it out there.

and for the record about 30% of me actually cares what you guys think.

And for those that want to know the performance figures from the dyno on the TRX

bone stock it put down 618 rwhp

it made 756 with stock air box and filter on 93 pulley swap and tune (don’t know which pulley, it probably wasn’t aggressive)

it made 770 with the air box off.

I’m sorry, did you say 22” Rims for the TRX?

The truck will look super with a 22" street package..I like the style of the vossens...with that blue I would want to see the same style wheel in the machined aluminum look...

Rendering looks good, I like the wheels and proportionally there looks to be enough rubber. I'm wondering if you might see light round the inside of the rim and whether the mockup has larger brake discs/rotors. I guess tyre selection to get the right thread look will make a big difference too.

My Rebel tyres are really very rubbish and spin all the time if the road is damp and I've been wondering how much better they are on the TRX given the extra HP. I'm contemplating ordering later this year but if I don't I might just change wheels/tyres so interested in how you get on.

Wow, 30%? :) In that case I will suggest doing it, I mean what do you have to lose other than your truck for a day while they take pictures? Those Vossen wheels do look really good on your Challenger! So what tires and size do you think you would run on the truck with the 22s? Got those big wheel arches to fill...

Just don't fill them to the point that the bump stops have to be lowered.

Those Vossens look close enough to the stock wheels that there's not a huge shock factor. They look good, especially with a tire that has enough sidewall.

I was thinking if they have a wheel design with a dish lip that could be silver like the stock wheel with the darker colored rim inside.

So that last truck is a rendering huh? Looks awesome! I think the stock TRX looks awesome (big, beefy, bad ass off road look) and would have loved the stock truck when I was about 40 years younger. However, I could enjoy it now with it lowered down a little, with some aftermarket wheels and tires and the "street / sport truck" look that it has in that pic. Been thinking of making some changes to my fleet and buying one, but not sure whether I'll actually do it. That pic may persuade me. I really like it !

To me the Vossen rendered on the truck is very reminiscent of the original slingshots on the Hellcat.

The rendering looks good - the stock wheels arent bad but I think the rendering on the truck looks sharp!

I agree that the rendering looks good. That has the truck sitting a little lower with less space over the tires. I hate unnecessarily high trucks. Unless you’re rock crawling in Moab, you don’t need that ground clearance and consequently to me it looks bogus. To me a big tire with lots of sidewall with a less aggressive tread pattern for the street would be the look I’d go for. The wheels in the rendering look nice. Congrats on the truck. Going to be a lot of fun!
