Whats wrong with the Suburban?
Grew up with those as they were the perfect family hauler in the 80s and 90s.

Thought about one recently because its rare to see someone bash the Suburban
This is about her 4th one. It keeps breaking, they can't get parts and no more loaners that was agreed on when they buy them.
She ordered an Escalade but I don't see how it's going to be any different. She says that they guarantee her a loaner.

Well, like an elephant, I don't forget or forgive those who screw me over !!

Besides, worked for them in various groups back in the mid to late 80's (Tech Center in Warren, Chevy Engineering, Truck & Bus). Being in the belly of the beast & seeing (literally) how they bolt things together & make quality/build decisions only strengthened my resolve to never own one of their POS vehicles again. I drove a Daytona Turbo, an Omni GLH, a Magnum & a Volvo 760 in the years I worked there - much to their dismay ;):ROFLMAO:

My brother & his GF were big Vet ppl between 1990 - 2010 and every one of them was a huge turd. The attitude of the dealer service ppl was an even bigger pile of shit, further reinforcing my opinion that nothing had really changed since they belched out my '77 abortion that could not be repaired.

Like I said, in my head, fuckers still owe me a car ! I know I will never get it but I will continue to vote with my wallet & never buy from them again + do my best to deter others from doing business with them as long as I draw breath.
We used the lemon law for the Cadillac and Isuzu for their ABS brake screw up that they couldn't fix.

Dad had 3 of them. Oldest being an 01 or 02 (9/11 0% deal).
He kept his 98 the longest. 220k miles when he sold it. Only issues were the cd player quit around 2013 and the 4wd switch panel/module died (easily replaced).
Thing was a tank.

Traded the 01 in for a fuel efficient car for my mom since we could all drive by then.

Back in the 90s I would buy one from the sale to use on vacation. Great trucks. Plenty of room and power.
I drove her current one to North Carolina last summer. It's a dog and doesn't handle worth a shit. It's a Premier so it's not a base model. This was the only one available when her previous one broke and no parts were available.
She wants it because of the room with the kids.

I accept the Challenger.
Glad to see that you're coming to your senses.

Anyway, I don't mind a $100K ADM, as long as my trade-in value is upped by the same amount. Of course, it'll still suck to pay the first registration on it.

My Z06...will have no ADM...but we also have agreed on my trade in value..(which is far less than I could get on the open market...) for my low mileage C8....Cant have it all...

Okay, so you're taking the opposite approach, paying less, but also getting less.

My bank account seems to prefer that I pay less, then get as much as humanly possible for what I sell. That technique has served me well since long before high used car prices became a thing.

But you're right. Can't have it all. Eventually you run out of space to put it.

That's a good start. Now that you're on the right track, get more of them.

No power seat on front passenger side and no power seat recline.
I enjoy the more spacious and refined ride of the taxi.

Ah, I don't have to deal with passengers, paying or not. And if I did, if they can't figure out how to adjust their seat manually I'd throw them out anyway.

After Covid I'm not as slender as I used to be, but still not in need of anything spacious. Not by a long shot.

The additional cup holders along with a place for your cellphone is very nice.

Hmm. I don't drink and drive. But if I did, I'd stick with one kind of beverage and would only need one cup holder. Also, my cell phone is small enough to easily fit on the passenger seat.

Aren't your roads plenty straight enough to hold a beer between your legs anyway?

I agree...but the dialogue went kinda like this..so you want a Z06...the price...sticker plus 25 g's ADM...and sell yer car on the open market...I countered with I trade it in..,give me ten grand less than I paid on a trade in...and MSRP on the Z06...on the surface it may not seem like a great deal...just wait and see the crazy ADM's guys are going to be willing to spend on these...plus I'm not a patient person...I'm not waitin 2 to 3 years for one...my C8...Demon...HC...were all non ADM cars...I'.m going to have a very early non Adm Z06...trust me...I know what I'm doin
