Don't know much about GM gas powered trucks...but current deals/incentives got me thinking. Silverado currently has 0% financing for 84 months and no payments for 120 days. Looking to have this be a vehicle I can flat tow behind our motorhome and eventually become my wife's daily once our Toyota Sienna is retired (which is probably 4-5 years away).

Any thoughts...I usually look to Ford for trucks. Just a thought at this point.

Hope everyone is well.

Heard that as well...Ford and Dodge use some paint coating and GM wax. Thanks for the reminder.

Just got the GMC AT4 and absolutely love it. Had the the Rebel before that. I am not brand biased but the GMC is one year newer and amazing. The power of the 6.2 is excellent. Of course not as amazing as my Redeye.

Leased this before the whole virus thing and it was a good deal. I am sure you could get a screaming deal now. I like GMC myself and they have better incentives.

You need a 4WD with 2 speed transfer case with neutral position to flat tow - correct?

Isn’t the Silverado is a little heavy to tow behind your motor home?

Yeah...would prefer Canyon but better deals on Silverado from what I've seen. My tow bar is rated for 10k...but lighter would be better.

Rust is an issue. I dont care what brand or coating or magic fairy dust they use. Unfortunately today's trucks are throw away vehicles. It's a terrible thing. We'll see how the use of aluminum and plastics affects things.
Loving the new Silverado 2500.

I had an '18 Silverado LTZ with a 6.2 gas motor and it ran very well. The ride was nice and it had all the amenities that I like. I traded it for my Challenger.
yes, the frame was coated with some sort of wax or tar or something.
If you get one with either the 5.3 or the 6.2 and you want an intake tube for it, let me know. I have a nice Airaid molded intake tube setup that will fit either of the V8's. I had it on my '17 Tahoe and then moved it to the '18 Silverado. I have the couplers to fit both throttle bodies.
I recently got a new to me F150 crew cab. It's aluminum, so I'm not worried about rust. The frame is fully coated with paint or something other than wax or whatever GM uses.
Ford is running some similar deals right now too.

Got a couple of quotes...local dealer was a jerk no movement from MSRP? Other dealer with the 0% financing deal:

2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss 20751

MSRP/Retail $52,605.00

Total Savings + Rebate $1,500.00

Net price $51,105.00 + Accessories $2,784.00 + Tax

I'm thinking 6K - 10K off? Am I out of line?

Only will do this even it is a smoken deal.

Thanks...some of the discounts are erased if you do the 0% financing.

Here is Internet deal:

  • MSRP $52,605
  • Discount $7,500
  • AV Chevy Internet Price $45,105

Was trying to avoid using any cash as cash flowing it for free is easy. Hellcat is almost paid off. Guess I will keep looking or hold off. Hope everyone is well.

Yeah...the net should be full of deals.....I don't think twice about traveling for the best deal as longs as all the numbers make sense.
Even the ones that won't let you have the 0 percent financing with the price have reduced finance rates right now.
The Ford dealer where I bought my truck has a leftover '19 Mustang that they have just discounted further and I can get the 0 percent for 84 on it too. it's got me thinking......

I dont see them really dealing much on a refreshed model. The virus thing may get you a slightly better deal these days but that is kind of the hot new model if they are giving it the same new front that the HD’s got. I havent looked into the 1500’s.

It seems like FCA is offering some deals on their Ram’s? Truck of the year!

I forgot to mention that above with my '18 Silverado....it had the 2 speed transfer case, not all of them do. I think it comes on the Z71 package and with the max tow package. I had the Z71 on my Tahoe and the max tow on my Silverado.

I’d say hold off but the big question is what are going to invest the $45k that you’re not willing to spend in? I’m sure you have some stocks or managers picked out!! Help a brother out!
