About 2 months, approximately 1500 miles. My 5.7 ram doesn't put this much out in 6 months. Glad that's not being burnt off in my engine.

My 5.7 is almost full by 4,000 miles but my 6.2 hardly has any in it between changes.

Neither of my Hellcats or my SRT8 ever have that much.

My take on it is that the catch can will catch some oil. But over the course of 1500 miles and what appears to be 3 teaspoons of oil - that is 1 drop of oil every 5 miles. Literally. Imagine those guys who catch that much over the life of an oil change... you didn’t catch enough oil to even taste in a glass of water.
But, I get it, I ran one on my TT Jeep SRT8... just don’t see the need, even after seeing the results.

A tech I know (more like a friend now) recommended an oil catch can if I was racing it or driving it hard all the time. I do believe they work but haven't done one yet. Might pick up the next one for sale on here. Couldn't hurt to run one.

Get the catch can! I run my charger reasonably hard on nice days. I catch a little bit of oil in the bottom every couple hundred miles. I recommend JLT.

This is after about 2,000 miles or less on my 2013 Daytona 5.7. I replaced the PCV at about 110,000 miles 5BA6510A-14A1-4D1F-A067-66219D673E8A.jpeg

Yup I get about that much too for that amount of miles.. just installed my catch can on the Redeye today at 225 miles. Will post pic later how much I catch in the bottom when I get the first oil change in a couple months..

I really like my Billet Technology on both the Scat and Ram. There's a lot of talk about long delays blah blah, I bought mine at ther end of last year when they had the big sale and had it in 10 days.

Had one on my 16 HC.
Got about 2 to 3 tablespoons worth in about 8000 miles.

I have the JLT 3.0 on mine. It's about 1/3 full after 1k miles or so. I just put the same JLT one on my truck. That one seems to put more oil in the can, and that engine is direct injected, so I think it's helping more on that engine since they are prone to buildup on the backside of the valves and the intake ports. The JLT is pricey, but it seems to be a quality product with some nice engineering behind it.

FWIW, "proof" would be datalogs showing detonation/KR issues due to excessive buildup AND a CC equipped car that doesn't have them under similar conditions.

I still run one, because it's pretty.

"Proof" for my post is that the catch can catches crap..... nothing else, it wasn't a study on the effects on the Engine there Mister! ;-)

Hell yeah it helps , whether it catches a little or a lot of oil , it's keeping oil from getting in the S/C system.

It’s from Billet Technologies. It’s not standard with their catch cans. I found out sometime after I bought mine that they had a clear bowl but found out recently they are not now available. I’m glad I got one for my 5.7. It’s not a problem on my HC because it doesn’t get more than s few drops in it but these things are a pain to empty if they get too full.

I don't know...proof for me is what's in the can...and that it's there and not coating the inside of my intake manifold. But I'm a "basic" bitch...so that works for me. :p
