I would like to know if it will make a difference in value long term, to buy a first year Hellcat 2015 or any of the other years before the Wide Body ? Basically what I’m saying will the long term value be higher on a 2015 or does it not matter if you get a used 2016 or 2017 ?

Really depends on what you want.
A 15 will be less than a 16 or 17.
There are low mileage 16's out there for ~ 50 (search nationwide).
15's have better chance of having SC or DS issues.
Was going to get another 16, but went ahead , bit the bullet, and got a 19 just the way I wanted it.

My take, buy the newest, lowest mileage example I could find at a price I could do....and of course in Yellow Jacket to match wife's Charger!

An old saying goes like this.
The 1st yr is the worst yr. The last yr is the best yr.

There may be some truth to that. With that I'm not saying 15s are bad. But 16s and up have updated drive shafts. 17s got updated blowers (bearings)

If you want to jump into a Hellcat ASAP, get the 15'/16'. If you want more updates, apple/android CarPlay, warranty, upgraded performance parts, get the newer models.

I would've bought a 15'/16' if I didn't find my 18' at the same price as those older models, but with fewer miles and spec'd to how I want it.

Doubt it. Too many of these out there.

I’d say grab a left over 19 for low 50’s and be happy.

I waited until 2019 because the Challenger was finally available the way I wanted it (without a bunch of standard features/options) and it had a lot of updates built into it. OEMs push out a 90% solution to market and allow the end user to beta test it for them in the real world, making adjustments as required. Buy the newest car you can.
