Well, we make weekend time for that. During the week however I’m out of the house from 5am-5pm, so I just work, eat dinner, shower, then fall asleep on the couch by 8pm. Btw, how did this conversation disintegrate to this???
8pm....o_O..if I ever went to bed that early....I'd be up @ 1:30 am...and never get back to sleep...I operate on 51/2 hrs. a night sleep...

I repeat that to myself as I stagger through the garage every morning on my way to work. Besides, I was never much of a student. Thanks 1971, you’re right.

Happens all the time actually. I’m usually up for my second piss about 2am and often don’t fall back. Alarm goes off at 0430ish.

Happens all the time actually. I’m usually up for my second piss about 2am and often don’t fall back. Alarm goes off at 0430ish.
I check out bout 1am...(sometimes later...) sleep till 6/630...

The Super Birds back then....they couldn't give them away @ the dealer up the street
No lie. I could've bought a Daytona, (a 440, 4-speed) from Mr.Norm in 1975 for $3000. And that was negotiable. I wound up buying a '70 Mercury Cyclone 429 SCJ, 4-speed instead for $2300. It was orange with the black and white cloth houndstooth interior. It had A/C, PW, and PS. It was a much nicer street car.

I started driving in ‘76 but had a Saturday job in a motor factors for the last couple of years at school so I was already a petrol head ,and I wanted one .Unfortunately there was a strip of water in the way and I never had enough £$$£ either ,ah well.

Really? They have been bringing way more money lately. A Hemi Daytona went for 1.3 million this year and a Hemi Superbird sold for 1.5 million last year. A few years ago they were way lower
The rare examples that are finest of the breed are still and always will bring top dollar, but there's been many wing cars in the 200 range struggling to get above 300 lately it seems. Daytonas almost always seem to sell higher than Superbirds.

With Superbirds production numbers being almost 4x that of the Daytonas I would expect them to almost always go for more, comparatively equipped that is.

Those were great cars...and 429 SCJ..was an awesome package...

Nor was I...not for lack of aptitude...I just hated being told what to do..(and still do)...although High School was alotta fun...:giggle::giggle:
