Attempt at running an 8.7

Goal today was an 8.7. 2.7 ihi. Stock engine. 8hpxtreme transmission.

Well today was a frustrating day at the track. Go up for the first pass. line lock has a “system fault” so I foot braked it took off soft and after the 300ft it was the fastest I’ve felt it. Well then around the 1000ft mark throttle body shut closed and I lost all power.
All day had the line lock issue. It is still not fixed. Later in the day started getting active dapering suspension pops up randomly. For no reason. At that point I decided to call it a day. Then I ended up getting another fault on the paddle shifters. That also ended up going away. I made 2 successful passes down the track. This was the fastest of the 2 (9.0). This should have been a PB. I almost always cut a low 1.3 60ft and when I am chasing faster time I am in the 1.2s. If I would have cut the same 1.24 this would have been a new personal but. The goal today was in the 8.7 range and it could have done that.
Also I maxed out my fuel pumps and started dropping pressure. Luckily I have triple pumps that came in yesterday.

With that mph that should be easy. Just goes to show how stout a stock Redeye engine is geeeeez.

They sprayed the track a few times and it would hook good at times and at times not. 1st day of the season and it wasn't real busy. This isn't our normal track but our track was flooded from all the rain a few days ago. Biggest issue Jon fought was not being able to get a good burnout. Line lock would engage but release once the tires stated spinning. A tazer would have come in handy. The DA was showing negative also to start and was still only 400 later in the day. Sometimes days just do go as planned

You didn't get your 8.7 but a 9.0 with a 1.418 60' is crazy. She was motoring down the back half. Congrats on the 9.0.

You didn't get your 8.7 but a 9.0 with a 1.418 60' is crazy. She was motoring down the back half. Congrats on the 9.0.
I'm sure you'll figure out the gremlins.
I did laugh a little at the fact that even with issues now I run 9.0s 🤣 if I had my 1.2 60 like I try to do man it would have been wild

What else is done to it? Things hauling arse..... Who tuned it?

I did laugh a little at the fact that even with issues now I run 9.0s 🤣 if I had my 1.2 60 like I try to do man it would have been wild

Jon, good run fer 1st of the season. You have the rest of the year to chase those gremlins. It's the lillle things that are fine in the shop then get em all together and they start poping up. Like shooten skeets that keep running away. Little bastards don't do dat on the machine. Good time and keep pluggen away street racer.

That is incredible MPH for the mods! I assume some weight reduction is done?
Weight was pulled but I also added an ice box and had 20lbs of ice in there plus extra fluid.
IDK what the car weighed as the scales weren't on.
