I guess the Ford Super Duties are serviced that way now for any major engine work, with the cabs being lifted. Not that an I6 shouldn't need replacement already.
Yeah that was one of the first ones that needs a thermostat housing or something like that. They updated the part but unfortunately the way the engineers design stuff it’s sometimes easier to yank the body off.

Viewed as a powerful AWD touring car and not as a Hellcat replacement, I’m not hating it. 4700 lbs and reasonably priced.

The Hurricane is going to prove great it’s just the car is way too heavy. A Hellcat power plant isn’t going to make this car significantly better since a fully dressed iron block hellcat is 850lbs. That would make this car weigh in at 5200lbs with 400 more lbs on the front end.

C'mon, if Dodge put the D170 motor in a new Charger it would haul ass and you know it, the thing would do a wheelie and sound better doing it. I'm not saying the Hurricane is a bad motor, but it doesn't measure up to the bar that SRT set. Put 30psi of boost through a V8 and see what happens. Hopefully there's bigger and better coming from Dodge.

That was last month at my local dealer. Was in the bay next to my 170 when I got the spark plug thing done.

Well of course, besides the wheelie. You’re talking about a $150k car compared to a $60k car.

That’s wild it looks exactly the same as the one I saw a couple months ago. I think the Hurricane is going to be a phenomenal engine but I sure wouldn’t buy the first gen.

BMW had some teething problems with their first gen B58 and now it’s considered one of the best engines in the industry. It’s usually given as the reason why BMW reliability ratings have greatly increased in the last ten years.

I agree. It’s now more of a Grand Touring (GT) car.
