adaptive suspension wiring question

I searched about anyway you can...and cant find what I need little help please?
I found my wire on the driver side rubbed thru and I thought about just repairing it. But what I want to do is just replace it the wire is about maybe 2' long and there a connection you can unplug and the other it goes up to the top toward the shock...how it the heck you take the top loose? I felt up and it seems to have black rubber cover that the wire leads in to. Has anyone took the off before? Thanks

There is a repair kit for that wiring .... I will see if I can dig up the part number from my thread .

I keep seeing where they say you have to replace the driver's rear shock because A wire got rub raw. I just dont believe. I believe that is considered the jumper wire but not sure it's only a couple feet long and has a connection close to the pumpkin where it can be disconnected it's the other end at the shock I'm not sure about

I used some waterproof crimps and some fusion tape stuff. But with the waterproof crimps that’s probably all you’d need with any good electrical tape

yep thats what I'm going to do I'll just solder the wire back together and use shrink wrap....I was just thought about replacing the wire from the connector to the shock. But your right doing what you done is just as good.

Rock Auto shows a new one comes with the pigtail, so I don't think you could easily unplug it from the damper body even if you wanted to. And the struts are about $600/ea so I'd definitely give splicing a try first.

it's just hard for me to believe that they would make a part that cost 600 dollars when you just have rubbed raw wire. But it dont matter I'm gonna just patch mine in. If the shock went back it's understandable but a darn 3 small wires.

It's not that hard to believe. My son's '17 Charger has a bad trunk popper button in the trunk taillight assembly. The bracket holding it completely rusted out. The button and short harness are completely removable from the taillight assembly, but the button can't be purchased separately. Have to buy the whole damn thing for $400+ 🤬

that darn shame....you cant even buy a rebuild kit for starter's anymore either.....just 2 small bushing's and brush's now you have buy a rebuilt starter. It's all about the dollar

Hi, did you ever find a repair kit part number, or anymore detail? I just bought a set of frt/rear struts used with 22k miles. I assumed the wiring was trivial to take car of. Wasn't paying attention tho, and all 4 are cut.

Thank you! Looks like I can reuse my existing stuff.
I'd found a set of struts/shocks off a 22k mile 2022 Hellcat to replace my 130k mile units. They looked great. So I snagged them. Later I noticed what I should have paid attention to before. They all have the wiring harness cut. Turns out there is a hidden screw under a cap. Wires use contact pins. So I can use my existing wires.
