2020 Widebody Hellcat Charger Ugly?

I hate the widebody Challenger and Charger.

Exactly the opposite, I don't care for the WB Challengers, especially with the tacked on flairs, but I REALLY like the WB Chargers! And being that I just learned that the flairs on the WB Chargers are integrated, I'm in love with them.

That being said, I still am a Challenger guy.


I also now have hope that the WB Challenger CAN in fact be made with integrated flairs being that FCA did go through the effort with the Charger!!! Does everybody remember the first appearance of the WB Challenger and how the reason for the tacked on flairs was that the "tooling for an integrated flair would be too expensive..."

I have to agree integrated flares for the Challenger might make the package - on the tacked flares - might as well have the fasteners poking out like lots of truck flares - doesnt look right to me. Looks better on the Charger, maybe acceptable(?), but I do like the smooth/clean look on the Challenger.

Figured I’d start a thread and see how many charger guys are on board with the new bulbous flares they’re integrating with the 2020 HC Charger. I’m not exactly a hater. But I think the flares just throw off the lines of the car. Personally I’m a fan of the WB challengers but the 2020 Charger HC with these style flares just looks off and doesn’t do it for me. Glad I got my 19!

I am of the mindset that I will need to see it in person. Some cars just don't look good in photos for whatever reason.

I saw the WB Charger in person and I think it looks bad ass. I have my name in at the dealership for when the WB Redeye Charger is available for order.

Got to really play around with a guy in a Hellcat Challenger the other day. Went from stop light to stop light. Poor guy didn't know that the stock tires do nothing, and spun a good bit before traction grabbed. I was enjoying it.

No offense my dude! But the way things are right now, look wise, only the badges separate a V6 from a V8. Nothing wrong with V6's and in due time you'll be in one of these gas sucking demons

The V6 is an awesome engine, I had it in a 2018 ram 1500, loved it. Smoothest V6 I have ever been in, just great.

Regarding the WB, I like it, 315 tire fits in the stock body, WB going to able to handle some big meats.

As for right now, I like the Challenger WB.

The Charger WB to me.......looks like a Ford Raptor had sex with a Scat Pack Daytona Charger.

I don't particularly care for the WB Challenger (but I"ve never been a big challenger fan myself, not slamming it, just doesn't do anything for me). Liked the Charger (not OMG, get a woody, but that looks good) for a while, and really liked it when it was coupled with the HC motor. So, here we are today. I don't care if the car has flares or not. I think from some angles they look good, others not. Certainly more busy to the eye with the flares and there is something to be said for simplicity. Also, the drop in top speed from 204.5 to 196 is not a thriller (and I use that speed every day for my commute). What I really want way more than flares is a way to get 345s under the rear of this thing. I hear that 345 will work on the flared Charger, but I haven't seen any concrete evidence of this. If I could get 345, flares or no flares, this would be OMG, get a woody, worthy.

345s have already been done in widebody Challengers (and Challengers seem to have a little less room for wide tires than a Charger in general), so why wouldn't they fit a WB Charger? Once the car hits dealer lots I'm sure we'll get plenty of custom wheel/wide tire fitment posts. Also SEMA is right around the corner, besides the AWD TT HC Charger maybe we'll see a few other WB Chargers modded.

Yep, I believe the owner of the green HC bought all the OEM parts and modified his '15 to fit them. 20x11 w/315s is as big as you can squeeze under a standard Charger. Since the regular Charger has a bit more room than the regular Challenger it will be interesting to see if someone can fit something even more ridiculous than a 345 on the rear of a WB Charger (if there's even anything available in an appropriate overall size). I've never cared for the newer Chargers, or any other cop car for that matter. Well, that's what the are to me.
And those tacked on "dually fenders" on a Challenger ruins its clean looks in my mind, not to mention that they completely destroy any stealth factor.

And then I saw photos of a Charger wide body...what a difference!
Not that it makes me want to go out and buy that 4-door, regardless of how much power it has, but it somehow completes the "ricer look" (in a good way).
If I had to own a Charger, it'd be a wide body.
