P4D has said this is to balance the increase in stability with focus on input-side reinforcement (also to help prevent case failures). In testing they've also reported the feeling of cars having more bite and running a bit tighter as well. There's the option to reuse factory hardware or add in new bolts for installation.

All of that stuff is typically done before the product release, thus the images of the part installed on a vehicle :giggle:

IMO, not needed, just weld up the case, there are no guarantees

I can see how this brace would limit some of the deflection of the case during wheel hop, but if during launch
our car does not wheel hop an hooks good the diff will lift up away from pad in opposite direction to wheel rotation at which point its just going along for the ride.
not trying to poo,poo this brace but it only supports in one direction which is better than no support at all.
I would consider this if I still have wheel hop after everything I`ve done too combat it.

To tell the truth , I'm not sure how this Race Brace will bolt in ? … I'm assuming this thing just goes on top of the diff. & the bolts go through the brace then through the diff. holes to tighten down at that point. So not sure how the diff. would lift up as you mention , it is mounted the same except for the brace over it.

I have decided to upgrade the entire Brace vs reusing anything, my brace is one of the originals and is holding up fine.
I want to see how the improved driving conditions feels.

Linda :)

its a close up pic but it looks to me that its underneath but if its over top then I stand corrected. I just took another look its underneath because of where exh. an heat shields are located in the pic. so diff will try to rotate up at pinion flange end away from brace. this brace bolts to where diff bolts to cradle at frt.

Yes it underneath , I meant on top of the diff mounting tabs. Not on the top side of the diff. , on the bottom side of the diff. but on top of diff. tabs.
So if the diff. can't move upward now then i don't see why it will move upward with the brace.

I see what your saying but to me brace appears to be the lowest thing other than the bolt head. better pics would sure help.

Yeah & some install instructions would help to see exactly how it is mounted , I'm going on faith that it's gonna help , I know all their other braces are pretty good. I figure their brace I have on the back side of the diff. , it can't hurt to brace up the front side of the diff too.
