Generally the hotel is full of hot rods from the tour. People hang out, work on cars and party in the parking lot.

Cars do get stolen. We've been the last 2 years with a Scat Pack and a Hellcat. No problems.

I was told that they've been working on going places with a lower crime rate. Memphis in 22 was a really bad place. We were fortunate to get out and go to Mississippi for the night.

That's not what you take.

Many have Roadkill cars and others drive modern stuff. Part of the show is watching people fix their stuff or pray to finish.

You always stay out of the metro areas.

This isn't for everyone. I just posted the event. There's only going to be around 6000 hot rods there.

Seriously, you shouldn't go to Power Tour, Sick Week, Drag Week or any of the other events out there because you'll be so nervous that you would not enjoy yourself.

Wife has been very tolerant attending these events and now it her turn this year to pick out somethings this year.
