Your car and its interior was largely designed in 2002-2003 and released in 2004 as a 2005 model year. 20 years later, it’s not really an afterthought, it’s laziness, haha.
Enjoy the power and comfort… everything else is secondary. If your passenger reaches for the dash to see if it’s plastic, just floor it and pin them back in their seat. They’ll grab on to whatever they can and it won’t matter what material it’s made out of.
