Good luck, brother! I'll be rooting you on from the stands. Hopefully, they give us access to get pretty close to you guys. Ron (@DRAGRCR) will be there racing too. Stoked!

With the renewed talk about the upcoming Roadkill Nights… I just saw this post I put up before the Vegas event in March. I see that I didn’t post the results of that. So… a little late but still fun. We qualified 2nd fastest of the 65 cars racing. That put us in the eliminations part of the program right before the Last Call Demon unveiling. Three of the SpankinTime Motorsports cars ended qualifying in the top four of the Big Tire catagory. Our 7.8 second blue car, with Adams daughter Nichole Reynoso driving, edged me out of the #1 spot with a 5.2 second run on her last qualifying pass. Damn! That was worth $1000. And wouldn’t you know it….. I drew her in the first round 🙄 The #3 qualifier was a monster 1960’s Dart with a turbocharged 440. #4 qualifier was our Whipple DragPak Equipped Magnum ((Dragnum) owned and driven by Max Nichols from Calif. I lost a close race to Nichole and Max went down to the Dart. That set up the final and the Dart laid down a 5.30 and took the win when Nichole spun the tires a tad too much off the line and couldn’t catch up. She got a loud standing ovation passing the stands on the return. So overall we enjoyed a huge weekend and showed pretty much everybody on the West Coast who the dominant Hellcat shop out here is. My car was performing much better than Houston where we ran 8.3 at 165. We got the ignition issues sorted and although the track prep was nowhere near what the Legions event gave us (and the DA was 4000 ft higher) we were within .15 on the quarter. I’ll add some pics….. check the flags in the down track shot. 30+mph headwind at 4000’ da. 😖

Oooh!!I thought it was a 440 with a single. Too busy to get a closer look. Any case.. it’s bad ass and a formidable opponent. Guy’s a real racer! Pretty sure we’ll meet up again later this year when it cools down and we start racing again. Maybe the In N Out race at Pomona in October. It’s fun to go heads-up against stuff like this. We’ll have something for him next year 😎
