Why do we think the prices of EV’s are plunging?

Because people in general do not want one, plus they're are too many issues rearing their ugly heads with EVs recently.
People are starting to see through the line of bullshit when it comes to EVs and the green concept. The people that MUST have one because they're better than we are already has them. The price of most EVs is insane even compared to our cars for what you get. EVs definitely have a future and purpose but not for every single person in the country or world for that matter, it's just not the only answer to the problem that wasn't brought up!

Just my .02

PS: I work with over 4,000 people everyday and we're in the auto industry and there are only maybe 5-6 individuals that either have an EV or TRULY WANT ONE 99% don't want anything to do with them!! There is only one that is DIE HARD EVs ARE GONNA SAVE US and let's just say it...he's a bit much!

It is up to us to show them we don't want them. If they don't sell they will have to go back or the government will step in and make it far to costly to own ice:unsure: I dont even want to think how they could push the average person into to one with higher gas prices, insurance, registration.

I was just reading how registering a car in some places is over 1k. The ticket for not doing it was less then $100. Seems it would be cheaper to take your chances. I still see cars with no plates running around. Why not have it be $100 to register and $1000 if you dont and get caught?

Many people can see how the new Green Agenda is a scam, to take money from our pockets to put it into their Greedy Ba$tard pockets! They also want it all and to include the control of us!
I'm all for technology and can deal with changes that has been prepared for.
There are many like me and you, who are so sick and tired of all this change that is not normal and under qualified for many climates that the US has!

Tesla should buy Dodge and Chrysler keep producing ice performance cars. They have an excess of carbon credits.

Here! Bingo. Had to tabulate that for the damn $82k Durango yesterday. 6.5% state sales tax and I estimate $1,300 first year tags in this socialist, liberal, unacceptable state. I am looking for a way real hard to depart for tax purposes this hell hole. May happen before I “officially” even need to register it here initially. Hold my beer. Fuckers!

There are plenty of reasons fpr people not to like EVs but part of the backlash against Tesla is the media turning on and trashing Elon Musk.
Could be part of it. We don’t want another thread trashed with politics so I’ll stop at that.

That is a good point. Besides the cold having negative effects on the batteries, without some constant reliable electric power to charge them, it is a heck of a lot more easy to fill an ICE with that gas that is around. Let’s remember Switzerland has plans to severely limit or outright ban electric cars if their power system can’t support them. Our good old California buddies had one hell of a time with their own electrical system last summer. Oh besides being one of the states who IMPORT more electric energy than others.

Just interviewed a guy last week. He just returned from Long Island, where a friend of his died in a car 'accident'.

He had gone down to meet up with other friends to plan some sort of memorial....

His friend was driving a Tesla...batteries spontaneously combusted. Obviously that sort of thing will startle someone, and it seems he jerked the wheel and drove into oncoming traffic. That is the theory at the moment.

It's to make the EV cars qualify for the EV tax credit. Over a certain price they don't qualify. Ford lowered the price of the MachE for the same reason.

Thats the case in Washington state - registering your vehicle can easily set you back over a $1000 bucks in some cases ( like a motorhome) but they will tell you that your license tax is only $30 - the state will tack on fees that are based on many other components like where you live (transit "fee") the cost of the vehicle, the weight of the vehicle, if it's an electric vehicle, etc.
