I'm looking for 12v when I shift into reverse. I have a 16 Challenger HC 6M. I checked the fuse boxes for a reverse light fuse but I can't find one. Is there a fuse for reverse? If not, where can I tap 12V ONLY when I shift into reverse? Thank you.

I have a manual from my 2010 RT that may help. As long as the colours are the same it should be white with light green stripe coming from the TIPM which you could confirm at the rear of the car. I do not know if the 2016 would be the same . Putting in a back up camera? 9B6809D7-8611-4F63-8955-DA98794FF2D7.jpeg 0F43850E-33CC-41DE-B00B-E67A9CEB8C26.jpeg

Hi, thank you for responding. I looked on youtube and it appears that I need to look for a white wire with orange tracer. That seems to be the reverse hot wire. My car already has a factory installed back up camera. I'm installing a reverse indicator light like the one from a 70-74 Challenger and I need a 12v source.

Have a photo of this light and where you're mounting it?

Here is a pic of the light. I also bought a used (mint) glove box door from ebay (so that I don't hurt my original door) and plan to drill a hole on the far left side of the "used" door.
In fact, the used door is arriving tomorrow. When that part is done, I will take pics and post them up.

Interesting, and thank for going to the trouble to post it up. What are you wanting to do with it?

The glove box door arrived today. I'm working on it now. Will post a few pics later.

Reverse light installed. Wiring is in. Just need to hook it up in the trunk. Maybe later. Gotta get back to work.

Project complete. The reverse indicator light is in. If you decide to do this to your car, I suggest you do what I did. Buy a used glove box door from Ebay and drill through that one. This way, someday in the future if you don't want the light there anymore, simply install your original door. This is something that can be very easily turned back to stock if you change your mind.

Under the trunk lid pull down the cover and locate the bright white wire with an orange tracer. Tap your power from there. For ground, open the glove box door. Look for a black phillips head screw on the left side of the box itself (not the door). I used that screw for ground.

Hopefully at least one person here will find this useful.

Mike
