Z26 pad install

In the process of installing z26 pads. Do most people reuse the brembo pins and clips or use the new power stop parts?

The brembo parts seem to be a little better quality?

I reused the Brembos and saved the others as spares.

The Powerstop parts don't fit well
Really? I took the power stop parts and compared them to the brembo stuff. They look exactly the same (physically) it was just the quality didn't seem as good

Reused OEM, the Powerstop hardware didn’t fit as well.

The pins are just a touch shorter.

The chamfer on the tip falls just inside the caliper billet whereas the OE pins fall just outside.

I also reused my stock parts and kept the Powerstop parts for spares.
I've ordered some stock replacement pins from RockAuto since my front pins have seen many many brake jobs now and am curious if anyone has found good parts to use as replacements.

The Z26 pins seen to be made of aluminum and I feel like the 26 springs would rust.

I can't believe how much dust was on the shocks, back of the calipers and the inside of the wheels. I hope these PS pads are cleaner

i wouldn't hesitate to use the Powerstop hardware though, no reason to think it would perform any worse, hell you're using their pads...

Didn't fit correctly.
Why I reused the OEM.

Re-used the OEM as well. Kept the hardware with the OEM pads for spare parts....just in case.

Me too. Brembo OEM hardware and pins, Z26 pads. The pads fit fine, operate perfectly and emit a minute amount of dust.

It's in the manual but I believe 110 ft lbs. Been a while since I've done it.

I've read of others torqueung at 115 and 120 but the book says 110 (or like 111, something close). I always torqued mine at 110 and never had an issue, had them off at least once a month.

I torqued to 100. So guess I'm going back out to the garage to re-torque to 110.

Thanks for the info.
