I had high hopes when they started building the Challenger and Charger again, but losing Plymouth, the Damlier "merger" and the Fiat connection before the name change worried me. And it's always bothered me that Chrysler (and Dodge) kept dropping product lines. I could always say they kept the Hemi and Hellcat, but now I seriously think the EV will be the final nail in the coffin...
Tesla has done a fairly good job with the whole EV approach - not saying I would ever buy one, but they seemed to do well making money selling them (not getting into the government connection and subsidies). I really think the EV market will kill Chrysler / Dodge without the Hemi - why would anyone buy an EV from them with when they have manufacturers that are more capable and have been doing it longer? The Challenger/Charger/300 with the Hemi power was where they sold cars, I don't see them gaining (or even maintaining) any market share with EV's or the straight six... I guess we'll see.
