Dealer oil change using 5w20

Just had my oil changed and dealer used 7 qts of 5w20 oil. Isnt 0w40 the correct weight or did it change for 2019 models?

You should have never taken it out of there. 100% the wrong oil. Take it back. It is supposed to be 0W40 Pennzoil Ultra synthetic and will only be in 1 quart bottles. There is no substitute for it by the dealer. No question. Make sure they put an SRT oil filter on it. Tell them you want to watch the tech do it so you can look under the car while it’s in the air. They are also supposed to drain the oil cooler behind the passenger side of the front bumper. They have to be careful removing the drain plug from the aluminum block on the bottom of the cooler because they can crack the joint or twist it right off if they simply put a tool on the plug and try to turn it.

If they put the MO-899 filter on it, that’s fine. Original equipment on Hellcats and Demon. I would drive it gently until you get the 0w-40 in there.

Def not correct. You didn't hurt anything unless you really been steppin' on it since oil change and really been heating it up and putting high pressure loads on the bearings under boost. But yea, that's def NOT acceptable. I once answered this in another thread I believe it was @1971demon with @Jimmy N. in agreement. "That's why I do my own oil changes, I gotta' know what's in there"....even under warrantee I don't care. I also posted my own thread about oil changes and things I found wrong they would've never addressed at dealer.

Honestly I am sick of these asshats getting away with shit like this,
It may not do any damage but I GD guarantee that if you did it and they found out about it then the warranty deal would be suspect.

Agree...probably a mistake on paperwork. Would still request it redone and to be able to watch. Get an oil analysis kit (on their dime) it will tell you viscosity of the oil coming out so you will know for sure what has happened.

0W-20 definitely wrong. If that's what's on the invoice I'd request a fresh oil change and personally watch the tech put the right stuff in there.
